Hey guys! I hope everyone has been enjoying their weekend. We were all supposed to go down to the States in our new trailer this weekend but, unfortunately, Connor’s passport did not arrive in time. So instead, the big boys went camping and Connor and I are having a weekend together at home. Although I was disappointed not to be going, it sure is nice to spend some one on one time with your kiddies!
With the two boys away, I am also hoping to get caught up on some little projects that I have been planning. I saw these pomander balls on Whipperberry and fell in love! I have been looking for a few girly touches to add to my craft room and though that these would be perfect!
-
Styrofoam balls
-
flower punch
-
corsage pins {you could use just regular straight pins if you were looking to save a little money}
-
scrapbook paper
My sister in law gave me a bunch of styrofoam balls a few months ago {thanks Carol!}, I already had a couple of flower punches to choose from {I ended up choosing a Martha Stewart hydrangea punch}, and I have a huge paper stash {I used some old American Craft paper}. So all I needed was some corsage pins and a Michaels coupon!
DIRECTIONS
-
Punch lots and lots of flowers. I ended up using about 5 sheets of 12×12 paper for my three balls and must have had well over 100 flowers from each sheet.
-
Stagger two flowers together, piece with the pin and attach it to the styrofoam ball. I started creating a ring around the middle of the ball and worked my way outwards.
-
Bend the petals of the top flower up a bit to add a little more dimension.
- Keep going until the ball is completed! This is a very easy project but it can take a while. So put on a good movie or your favorite TV show!
I added one ball to my craft room shelf
If all things go as planned I should have the craft room done this week {with the exception of one project}. I am planning on doing some stenciling tonight. Can’t decide if i should do a wall or the ceiling…

Dampen the florist foam ball. Insert the flowers into the foam ball until you can no longer see the foam.
