Now that Connor is in preschool, I had to make up Valentine’s Day class treats for two sets of classes. I decided to just do something simple for the preschool treats and had a little more fun making these Valentine’s day ipod treats for Matthew’s class.
I used the printables from this post on Spoonful and raided my scrapbook paper stash for the rest of the supplies. And, of course, we had to do a boy and girl version!
Supplies
- box of candy {we ended up using a box of Smarties – the Canadian kind!}
- Reese’s Mini Peanut Butter cups {the little ones that are individually wrapped}
- String
- Aluminum foil {This works best if you use a 4 inch circle. If you do not have a circle cutter, you can just cut squares slightly smaller than 4 inches and trim as you wrap}
- Double sided tape
- Tape
- Scrapbook paper
- printable from Spoonful
- Tape both ends of a piece of string to the top a peanut butter cup. Tie one end of the other piece of string to the middle of your first piece. Tape the loose end to the candy box.
- Wrap each peanut butter cup in aluminum foil.
- Trim your scrapbook paper so that it will wrap around your candy box with about 1 1/2 cm overlapping. Score the edges. {If you are making up a bunch of ipods, do good measurements for the first one and use that as your template}. Wrap tightly and secure with double sided tape.
- Download and cut out the printables. Attach with glue. {I also used a black ink pad to ink the edges to give it some extra definition}
Here are the rest of the Valentine’s Day goodies that I made up this year…
Pencils from a Rolo pack and Hershey’s kiss for Connor’s preschool teachers.
And a few more fun treats! The goodie box for Matthew’s teacher can be found HERE and the little tin in the front is a notepad and magnet set for Matthew’s EA.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine’s Day! Hugs to all!

I’m already planning for Valentine’s Day and what to do for my kids’ classrooms. I’m worried that if I don’t start planning now…I’ll be throwing it together on February 13th. Thanks for the great inspiration & ideas.
