Hi guys! Hope you are all having a great week! I feel like the full holiday rush is now here and I am trying desperately to keep up with my to do list while still trying to fit in all of those fun Christmas activities. Despite all of my best laid plans, there are still a few things that I need to get caught up on, but I am hoping to have things under control by the end of the weekend. A girl can always dream, right? 😉
Anyways, today I am super excited to have Lindi here from Love Create Celebrate. She is a fellow Canadian blogger and has the cutest little blog with lots of easy craft projects. I hope you will drop by and say hello!

Hi Everyone! My name is Lindi, and I blog over at Love Create Celebrate, where I blog about everything that I love, create, and celebrate. I’m thrilled to be guest posting for Jenn today! I hope you like the Christmas party favors that I’ll be sharing….
This time of year I am constantly getting together with family, friends, and co-workers to celebrate the holiday season. Whenever I get the chance to host, I like to have a little something for my guests to take home with them. This year, I chose to make these adorable mini yarn wreaths to send home at party favors.
Materials
- Styrofoam Mini Wreaths
- Yarn
- Gift Tags
- Accessories to decorate (optional)
To start, you wrap your wreaths with yarn of various colours – this is definitely the most time consuming part of the project!
After they are all wrapped, add another piece of yarn to the top as a string to hang the yarn wreath ornaments.
Next, you decorate them however you like! I used felt, ribbon, and tiny bells. I created four basic wreath styles, and copied each one a few times – felt holly, tiny felt flowers, jingle bells, and string designs and ribbon.
Finally, you add a gift tag, and you’re done! I used gift tags I made using this tutorial.
Now you can display them in your home for each of your guests to take home a new ornament – and I promise you won’t have any trouble getting rid of them!

This is a cute ornament. My question is how do you secure the yarn on the wreath?
Thank you!
Jenn Lifford says
When you first start the wrapping, just makes sure you wrap around the tail end a few extra times to secure it. I make sure to put the tail end more length-wise along the ring and then start wrapping more around the ring so it’s nice and secure. You could also do a small bit of hot glue too if you were concerned about it coming free. Once you’ve done wrapping everything you just need to tuck the loose end in and it should stay in place. 🙂

About how much yarn per ornament? Also, was this the small jar rings?
Jenn Lifford says
I’m not sure exactly how much yarn – I just kind of run with it on projects like this. The jar rings are the size for the standard mouth mason jars but you could use the wider mouth ones too.

Where can we find the styrofoam little wreaths?
Jenn Lifford says
Michaels or other craft stores should have them by now – you can even check the dollar stores if they have their Christmas stuff out. I’m sure Amazon would carry them too. 😉
