Hey guys! Today I am joining some of my favorite Canadian bloggers to bring you Part Two of our 2015 Fall Home Tour {you can catch Part One here}. There is some amazing fall inspiration from all around the country, so be sure to check out the links to all of the fall home tours at the end of the post. 🙂
Last week I showed you our fall front porch, front entry, and dining room, and today we are moving on to our kitchen and family room. While I normally love neutrals, I do enjoy mixing in some of the beautiful warm oranges and reds at this time of year. With just a few elements such as berry branches and pumpkins, you can easily and inexpensively transform your home for fall. I’m going to keep things short and sweet on this tour and just let you enjoy the photos.
So here is where I left you at the end of our last tour – with my Happy Pumpkin Spice Chalkboard {based on this card}.
So let’s head on into the kitchen. Welcome!
We did a big kitchen makeover just over a year ago now and I love our white kitchen. I always enjoy changing things up with each season, so having a neutral kitchen allows me to go with any pops of color that I like!
My favorite fall decor item this year is my little red truck. I actually picked it up at Christmas last year at Home Sense but thought that it would look great with some white pumpkins too! I’m always happy when I can use an item for more than one holiday!
I am also loving hydrangeas and white pumpkins this year. Unfortunately, we don’t have any fresh hydrangeas left, so I dug into some faux branches and broke a few pieces off. I purchased this clock “scale” from Decor Steals a couple of years ago and it is one of my favorite pieces to switch up each season.
If you turn 180 degrees, here is the view from the kitchen into our family room…
I am always cold, so I have blankets all over the house when it is fall and winter. This one lends a nice pop of color…
…but this faux fur one is just so cozy to cuddle up with on the sofa.
Of course, I can always cuddle up with this guy too. 😉
I picked up a couple of these nesting side tables from Decor Steals during the summer. One of them was outside on our patio and I moved the other one into the family room. It works great for holding some magazines and the television remote {and, of course, a few pumpkins!}.
I decorated the tray on our coffee table with some pumpkins from one of our local pumpkin patches, a piece of driftwood, and some cotton stems {which are actually from a wreath that I took apart}.
I made this simple Harvest sign a few years ago now from some dollar store letters and a piece of driftwood that I picked up on one of our family vacations. It’s still one of my favorite pieces.
I hope you enjoyed the tour and found some inspiration for your own home! Please check out the rest of these amazing homes on the tour. They are all gorgeous and I love how we all have our own styles!

I’ve been waiting for this post! I love your style so much! I caught a glimpse of the towel with the feathers hanging from your pumpkin spice chalkboard sign on your part 1 tour and was so hoping you would include where you got it from. It is perfect for my kitchen! Do you remember where you got it at? Thanks so much!
Jenn Lifford says
Thanks so much! The towel is from Home Goods – they came in a pack of two. 🙂
Sabrina says
Love everything! It is all beautifully decorated! By chance could you share where you got the chalk board? Thanks!
Jenn Lifford says
I picked it up at a local store (Grandiflora if you happen to live in the Lynden area of WA) but I have seen them a few different times at Home Sense. (Home Goods if you’re in the States).

Alli @ Tornadough Alli says
You have some seriously great style ideas. My house is seriously as bland as they come. I’m not much of a decorator. I see all this cute stuff but never buy any of it or do anything. I think that needs to change here real soon. Love all of this. Thank you so much for sharing with us at #ThrowbackThursday we hope to see you again this week.
Carissa says
What tiles (type and size) did you use as the kitchen backslash? I love the stone wall look it has .
Jenn Lifford says
Sorry for the late reply. They are marble subway tiles – I guess about 2 inch x 5 inch – and come in 12×12 sheets from Home Depot. 🙂
Carissa says
Thank you Jenn.
