Hey there! It’s Kim from Starlight Living and I’m so excited to be sharing this easy DIY Spring Wreath with you!
With spring finally here, I couldn’t wait to start this fun project! I don’t know about you guys but it’s always hard to find the perfect wreath for your door. What better way of getting what you want by creating it yourself – and it’s so simple!
MATERIALS
- Vine Wreath
- Wood Monogram
- 6 flower bunches – I used two different colors of Hydrangeas
- White Spray Paint
- Hot Glue
- 8 inches of twine – this will help tie the monogram onto the wreath
- Wire cutters
You can find any of this material at your local craft store, but for the prettiest floral stems, I would suggest Michaels. Not only can you get coupons for 40%-50% off, but they have the best floral department!
HOW TO
- Start with painting your monogram. I spray painted mine, but you could also use just regular paint you find at your local craft store.
- Next take your flower stems and start cutting them from the bundle. When cutting the stem make sure to leave a small bit of the stem attached to the flower. You want to be able to nestle it inside of the wreath. Your goal is to make sure the stem isn’t poking out the back of your wreath, you want it hidden inside!
- Now comes the fun part! Believe me this is super simple! Take a look at your wreath and figure out how you want to display your flowers! I chose to have mine displayed on the top left and the bottom right. There is no right or wrong way! Make it your own!
- Once you have figured out how you want your flowers displayed, add hot glue to the stem and place back into the wreath.
- After you have added your flowers, it is time to attach the monogram. I just used twine and tied mine onto the top of the wreath. You could also use ribbon and create a bow if you wanted to something a bit fancier.
There you have it!
A quick, simple, spring wreath you can place on your front door to welcome your guests!
I hope you enjoyed this easy DIY as much as I did.
