Create a pretty nature inspired fall centerpiece with these simple tips. Adds the perfect touch to any fall decor or fall tablescape.
I always enjoy putting centerpieces together for our seasonal decor. I don’t usually post them in a separate post, but I really loved this fall one and thought that I would share. I kind of have a rough thought process that I follow whenever I’m putting together a centerpiece. It’s pretty basic, but hopefully you find it helpful!
Easy Fall Centerpiece
If you want to make your own fall centerpiece, follow these simple steps as a basic guide. There’s really no right or wrong, so play around with everything until you love the look.
Start with a base.
I like to put our centerpieces on a tray, cutting board, or other base so that they can be easily removed from the table if needed. A base piece also helps to keep all of your items corralled so it looks less cluttered. I search the cutting board section of HomeSense pretty much every time I go in there. They always have lots of pretty and inexpensive options.
Add an anchor piece.
Add one large piece or grouping of items to the center of your base. I bought these amber glass bottles last year from Target and couldn’t wait to pull them out again! They just add so much warmth and I love the color! I also like that they go with both neutral fall decor {like I used in our dining room} as well as the more traditional fall colors. I love the natural look of the golden wheat with the amber glass, but you could always use some fall stems in the other fall colors too.
If you’re looking for amber glass bottles, you can often find them at thrift stores or antique stores. I also found some pretty amber glass bottles from Amazon that I’ve linked at the end of the post. You could even make your own version of amber glass by spray painting clear glass bottles or mason jars that you already have.
Fill in the spaces.
My favorite part is adding all of the little details! I went with a nature theme for all of the details and brought in lots of different textures and natural tones. I had a couple of these cute ceramic squirrels and they served as my starting point. I then layered in some faux fall leaves {that matched the stems I used in our hot beverage bar} and some acorns.
Turn on the glow.
I like to add twinkle lights to our centerpieces whenever possible. I just love the soft glow and it looks so pretty at night! The lights seem to have an extra glimmer against the glass amber bottles and makes it extra magical. It’s hard to really see the effect with my photos, but you get the idea! 😉
And that’s all there is to it! It went together in less than 10 minutes and I think it looks so cute. Sometimes the simplest projects are the best! If you put together your own fall centerpiece, let me know!
Shop the Post
Almost all of the items that I used for this centerpiece were items that I’ve had for a number of years. I’ve tried to put together some similar items for you if you’re looking for something specific or, better yet, just shop your home. Half the fun is mixing and matching items to find the perfect fit!
