Hey guys! Welcome back to another Halloween edition of Scrapbook Saturday! Last weekend I showed you Matthew’s Halloween Costume Mini Album and this week I am here with Connor’s.
I don’t really enjoy doing two projects the same so, although I do try to keep the projects equal between the boys, I usually end up doing something unique for each of them.
For this one I used an old chocolate tin, spray painted it black and decorated the cover with scrapbook paper and a couple of stickers from Echo park {I seriously LOVE this Apothecary Emporium line}. I distressed all of the paper edges with black ink.
The “pages” on the inside were cut to fit the tin {they are roughly 4×4} and then I rounded the corners off with a corner punch. Lots of the embellishments are attached with pop dots to add some extra dimension.
Each one has a blank side where I will be putting a photo and one side for the journalling. Each year has a different card.
I was hoping to have the pictures ready to put in the album for today but since they are 3×3 photos that I wanted {and I didn’t want to just trim down 4×6 photos}, I wasn’t able to get them printed locally. I order all of my odd sized prints from Scrapbook Pictures.com They can pretty much do any size photo you could want.
Connor is only 4 but I made up extra cards so I will just need to add a photo and some journalling each year. Even if I don’t get around to doing full size Halloween scrapbook pages, it will still all be documented.
It really is amazing how fast you forget which year they dressed up as what!
And since I don’t have any pictures to put in it, I thought I would show you a couple of pictures that I ordered {who doesn’t like to show off their kiddies, right?}
Here he is on his first Halloween. Is there anything sweeter than dressing your kids up for the first time?
When Connor was 3, he dressed up as a little skunk. I LOVED this costume and wished he would have kept it on for a few more weeks! When we were out trick or treating this black and white cat kept following him around – “Are you my mother?”
So here is one final shot of Connor’s album
And for those of you that didn’t get a chance to see Matthew’s accordian album, here it is.
