Christmas Home Tours
It’s the last day of our Chrismas home tour! I hope you’ve enjoyed all of the posts over the last couple of weeks and have found some inspiration for your own Christmas decorating. If you missed any of the past Christmas home tours, you can find them here…
Christmas Home Tour Hop
Today, I’m joining Marty from a Stroll Thru Life for her week-long Christmas home tour series. She always puts together a wonderful tour, so be sure to check out some of the homes at the end of the post. If you’re new to the blog or hopping over from Simple Stylings – welcome! I’m so glad you could join us!
Farmhouse Christmas Dining Room Decorations
If you haven’t already guessed, I’m going to be sharing our Christmas dining room with you today. I’ve gone really neutral in here for the past couple of years {I think last year’s Winter Wonderland Christmas dining room was one of my all time favorites!}, so I decided to switch it up this year and go with a red, black and white color scheme.
Christmas Hot Chocolate Bar
If you’ve been around here a while, you know how much fun I have coming up with different hot chocolate bar ideas. I expanded it this year and used most of the buffet and hutch for hot chocolate bar supplies! You can find all of our hot chocolate bar tips and tricks as well as a complete set of free hot chocolate bar printables and labels HERE.
You may recognize the racoon tea pot and mugs from our Christmas kitchen tour last year. I liked it so much that I even kept it out for a Valentine’s Day hot chocolate bar. This year, I decided to move it out into the dining room to add some pops of red to the space.
I stored all of our hot chocolate mixes in mason jars this year. I love the look of the bamboo mason jar lids and I’ll be sharing the labels with you on the weekend. Stay tuned!
I got this ladder mug rack from Decor Steals a couple of months ago, and found some inexpensive Christmas mugs at Walmart to use throughout the holidays. The two Santa mugs on the bottom are the kids’. We’ve had them since the kids were really little and look forward to using them again each year.
I have a few more little hot chocolate bar supplies and a Christmas chalkboard over on a side table. The top on the table removes for a tray, so it works great if we’re taking supplies to somewhere else in the house.
On the other side of the hutch, I have a little tree with a few hot chocolate gift ornaments all ready to go to any guests that may drop by. Who doesn’t love hot chocolate?
Christmas Centerpiece
This wood cutting board and vintage truck were used on our kitchen table in the fall and I pretty much just transferred it to the dining room for Christmas. I love pieces like this that can be easily switched up for the different seasons. I just pulled off the fall garland and pumpkins and filled it will a little Christmas tree, twinkling lights and a simple Christmas garland.
Neutral Christmas Decor
While I did add some red to the buffet and hutch area, I still ended up keeping a lot of neutrals. I used my pine cone wreath {that I had in our entry way last Christmas} over the mirror and love the little gnome perched on it.
I also decorated our side board with mostly neturals and just a few touches of red.
The North Pole Cookie Co. sign was a free printable that I shared last year. You can find it HERE if you’d like to download it. There are a bunch of different colors to choose from, if neutral isn’t your thing. 🙂
Winter Wonderland Christmas Tree
The big Christmas tree in our family room holds all of our family decorations and handmade items that the kids have made, but this tree in here is ALL MINE! I love, love, love a flocked tree and decided to keep this one all decorated in white. I really did try to add some red to it, but I had to take it down. lol!
Christmas trees are just so soothing for some reason. I could stare at them all day long.
Thank-you so much for touring with me today! I hope you enjoyed your visit and would love to keep in touch! Subscribe to my emails over on the side bar or look for me here…

What color is hutch.
Jenn Lifford says
It’s painted in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in the color Graphite. 🙂
Breanna says
Hi, I was wondering where you got your racoon tea pot and mugs from? Please and thanks
Jenn Lifford says
I got them a couple of years ago at Superstore. If you’re from Canada, I did see that they have the racoon mugs back this year. Not sure if they have the teapot too.
Sharon Gore says
This is so great! I totally needed something to keep me organized and this will be perfect!
Megan says
Hi! Where is the hutch from? It’s exactly what I’m looking for !
Jenn Lifford says
I bought it almost 20 years ago from The Brick and then painted it almost 10 years ago with Annie Sloan chalk paint in graphite. Sorry that’s not so helpful!
Mandee says
If ever you are looking to change it up and find a buyer for that hutch, look no further!!!
Jenn Lifford says
lol! It probably doesn’t ship well. 😉
Michelle says
Where did you get your greenery on top the hutch? Your home is beautiful! 😍
Jenn Lifford says
Thank-you! The green base on the top of the hutch is from Afloral. The pinecone garland is separate from Michaels a number of years ago. 🙂
Michelle Venable says
Did it take more than one of the greenery garlands to get that look? Thank you for your quick respone!
Jenn Lifford says
For the top of the hutch it was just one as I draped it down in front and you don’t see the top. I would think you would want at least two if you were doing a mantel.
