Hi everyone! I hope you have been enjoying all of the handmade Christmas decorations for my Trim the Tree Party! One of my favorite crafty gals, Jaime from Crafty Scrappy Happy, is up this morning. Her projects are always so personal just like her sweet ornament that she is sharing…

Hi! I am Jaime, I am the crafty gal and voice behind the blog Crafty Scrappy Happy.
I love all things involving crafting, DIY and Up-cycling.
I am SO thrilled and honored to be a part of Jenn’s Trim the Tree homemade ornament series! I adore everything about Jenn and her blog!
So, one of the things that I ALWAYS try make sure I incorporate into my crafts is meaning and I try to follow this even more so around the holiday season.
And one of the biggest things that has happened this year for my husband and I was that we purchased our fist house. And so of course I am all about making all kinds of special and meaningful ornaments this year having to do with “Home”.
This is my first personalized “home” ornament and I am really loving how special it is!
And what makes it even better, is that it was simple to make!
I used my silhouette cutter to cut out the state of Wisconsin on a piece of vinyl, but this step could also be done by tracing an outline of your “home” state as well. Next I applied the vinyl to the ornament and then used a Martha Stewart glass paint to add the state.
Then after the paint dried, I used glue to add glitter to the state.
Finally I added the wording with StazOn in and my favorite dollar section alphabet stamps.
Sweet and simple and a great personalized way to dress up your tree or create a special gift for friends or family!

It is a beautiful lake side property and she and her husband have done an amazing job with it. The Before and After photos are crazy! And, of course, there are tons of wonderful crafts to fill her home!
