This month we are working on our outdoor spaces for The Household Organization Diet. It’s kind of more like a two month plan for me, but we are definitely plugging away at it. 😉
Along with the regular monthly to do list, I have also created a few more outdoor home and garden maintenance checklists that I wanted to share with you. The lists look a little more intimidating than they really are – many of the tasks will just be a quick check and not something that you have to do every year – but they are definitely important to maintain your home and avoid more costly repairs {and extra work!} further down the road. A few of the tasks are also doubled up on the monthly to do list, so if you have been working your way through that, you have already checked off a few boxes!

Remember that these don’t all need to be done at once. Just plug away at them and try to hit the most pressing tasks first. There is a note section also included on each printable for you to jot down things that may need to be checked in the future, paint/stain colors that you used, names of any repairmen that you have hired, etc.
While this may be a lot of work now, picture yourself in July relaxing in your beautiful yard with nothing to do but soak in the sun, read a good book, and enjoy a nice, cool drink. One of these might be good…

Love these printables! They are just what my husband needs to get going. lol We also have screens that needs fixed, and some paint chips on the house. Our big thing will be getting the exterior windows washed. Way too high for me to climb up or use a pole. We also have a charbroil grill so I am not exactly sure how to clean that kind. Will have to research! But your lists give us a great start. I’ll be using it as a resource. Thanks!

If I can get my act together, I will have a post on washing exterior windows out soon! 😉 Good luck with the outdoor projects!

I love the checklists (I am a planner and checklist “junkie”). Thanks. I’ll be printing out those ASAP. Also, I’ve got to spend a minute looking at how to clean my BBQ. It is a task I have long struggled with.
Best,

Always good to meet fellow checklist junkies! The BBQ cleaning has got to be one of my least favorite tasks – but definitely much needed! 😉

I love your list. We started on some outside work but didn’t finish. We need to get back to it. Your list will come in handle for getting us back on track.

We are hopefully moving in a couple of weeks, and there are ton of things that we need to do…including cleaning up our outdoor space and equipment. Our grill? Is nasty. Husband needs to get on cleaning that thing up 😉
