Fall Decor Inspiration
I’m back for part 2 of our fall home tour today with our fall dining room! I’m joining the Canadian Home Bloggers’ Fall Home Tours with some of the best Canadian home bloggers from across the country. Christina from The DIY Mommy and Shannon from Home Made Lovely always put together a beautiful tour so I hope you’re able to take a little time to check out some of the amazing fall inspiration! You can find all of the links at the end of the post.
Our Fall Dining Room
Yesterday I shared our fall kitchen. I went with a more traditional color scheme and used pops of orange to add that fall feel. Today, I’m taking things in the other direction, and going more neutral for our fall dining room. Am I the only one that’s torn between neutral decor and adding color?
If you’ve been reading my other fall posts from this year, you know that I’m obsessed with adding twinkle lights everywhere. They just make everything seem so warm and cozy – especially when it’s wet and rainy outside. I don’t have as many lights in this room, but the leaf garland on the hutch does light up and I have lots of candles to add that extra glow.
For the fall centerpiece, I just added some cut wheat stems to glass jars and put them in a wooden crate. It’s such a simple piece that can easily be changed up for the different seasons.
Fall Hutch
I painted our dining room table, buffet and hutch about 5 years ago using Annie Sloan chalk paint in graphite. It’s getting slightly chippy now, but I still love the painted look. I just switch out a few of the smaller decor items in the hutch to change it up for the different seasons.
Fall Sideboard
I took most of the color inspiration for this room from this tree artwork that I picked up a couple of years ago. It’s not really a fall print, but it ended up working perfectly with my fall decor – muted blues, whites, greys, and some flecks of copper and gold.
I used pumpkins in soft blues and whites to dress up the side board, and then layered in natural elements like the wheat, cotton, and a corn husk garland. I found some acorn lights at HomeSense and they add such a pretty glow at night. The copper pumpkins pick up some flecks of copper that appear in the painting and reflect the light nicely.
I also popped in my farm fresh pumpkins printable that I’ll be sharing with you next week.
Fall Hot Beverage Bar
If you’ve been around here for a while, you know that I love to set up seasonal beverage bars. I’ve done apple cider bars and hot chocolate bars before, but I went with a more general fall hot beverage bar this year. I found these Skinny Girl fall flavored syrups while waiting in line at Home Sense and decided that I needed to try them out. I don’t drink coffee but I love frothing up hot milk with an aerator. This pumpkin caramel syrup added to frothed almond milk is my new favorite {and only 30 calories!}. It’s seriously SO good!
I got the owl tea pot and mugs a few years ago at Superstore {which is a grocery store chain if you’re not from Canada} and I look forward to them coming out every fall.
I hope you enjoyed the tour today! If you’re new around here, I’d love for you to say hello! You can stay in touch here…

Oh this is just fabulous! Our house is all gray and I struggle when decorating for fall because I hate orange, but your incorporation of that bright copper pop and the natural white pumpkins and straw is absolutely gorgeous! Sophisticated fall at it’s best! Thanks for the inspiration!
