Holly Jolly Christmas Punch
This delicious sherbet punch is one of my favorite drink recipes and I usually do some version of it for almost any holiday celebration that we have. It’s so quick and easy to make and is always a hit! To be honest, I’ve made it so many times that I don’t usually even measure out the ingredients. It’s always easy to adjust the flavor afterwards to your particular taste if you like it a little more or less sweet, so it’s pretty much impossible to go wrong!
Christmas Sherbet Punch Recipe
This sherbet punch recipe is super easy to make and just requires a few basic ingredients. If you want to be fancy, you can always dress it up a bit more with some fresh fruit garnish, but this step can always be skipped if you prefer.
I created the recipe for 4 people since it will just be our little family for Christmas this year, but you can easily double or triple the recipe if you have more people. It’s also so quick to make that you could always whip up another batch in just a few minutes if needed. This punch is definitely best served chilled, so you might want to keep some ice cubes on hand if you’re going to keep it out for a while. You can see my pretty ice cubes below!
Sherbet Punch
This delicious and easy to prepare sherbet punch is perfect for any Christmas gathering. Can easily be adapted for other seasons and holidays and enjoyed all year long.
Ingredients
- 2 cups 7-Up, chilled I prefer to use 7-up Zero as it's a little less sweet but you can really use any lemon-lime soda.
- 2 cups cranberry or cran-raspberry cocktail, chilled I used the "lite" version.
- 3 scoops raspberry or other pink colored sherbet or frozen yogurt
- 1/2 cup unsweetened orange juice, chilled This is optional but I find it cuts down the sweetness the perfect amount.
- garnish of choice (orange slices, pomegranate seeds, fresh cranberries, raspberries, etc.) optional
Instructions
-
Scoop frozen yogurt into punch bowl or other large serving dish.
-
Add 7-up and juices. Mash sherbet with a potato masher or fork to break it up. Do not completely mix.
-
Add any extra garnishes of your choice such as fresh cranberries, raspberries, orange slices or pomegranate seeds. You can also top with a couple of extra scoops of the sherbet if you would like.
-
Serve chilled.
Fun Ice Cube Ideas
Making pretty ice cubes is a super simple way to dress up your drinks and adds a little pop of flavor {and color!}. Just fill your ice cube tray with some fresh fruit {such as pomegranate seeds, raspeberries, small slices of oranges, or fresh cranberries}, top with water, and freeze. For a larger option for punch bowls, use a muffin tin for the same effect. These usually pop out pretty easily but you can always run a little warm water on the back of the tin if they’re not wanting to release.
You could also place some of the fruit in a small bowl and leave them out for guests to add their own garnish. Or top off your punch bowl with a few pops of color!
I hope you enjoy this drink as much as we do! Let me know if you try it! Enjoy!
