Halloween Candy Bar
Of course, one of the best things about Halloween is all of the candy. I’m not big on all of the scary, gory Halloween stuff, but candy I can do! And what better way to enjoy your favorite treats than to create a fun little candy bar. It doesn’t have to be a big display. Even just a few cute jars or bowls filled with your favorite chocolates or Halloween treats is the perfect way to celebrate the season.
This cute Hocus Pocus Candy Co. printable adds an extra touch to your candy display and could even be used on its own. The muted Halloween colors would work well with typical fall colors too, so even if you don’t decorate a lot for Halloween, it will still go with your regular decor.
There are lots of different ways you could use the printable and you can’t go wrong putting a candy bar together. This would also be great for a Halloween party, a dessert table, or just framed by the treat bowl on Halloween night. I had fun putting a few different displays together and I hope you do too!
How to Put a Candy Bar Together
Find some cute storage containers.
Putting a candy bar together is pretty basic. All you really need are you favorite Halloween treats and somewhere to store them. Mason jars or other glass jars work well for keeping loose candies fresh and all of the colors make for a pretty display too. I got these glass jars at the dollar store a few years ago and they always come in handy for seasonal displays. Color coordinating bowls, larger mason jars, glass vases or Halloween themed bowls work well for holding wrapped candies such as chocolate bars or suckers.
Pick your candy.
I kept our candy bar relatively small since I know how fast candy can go around here. One of the glass jars is filled with Smarties {the Canadian chocolate version!} and the other jar with candy corn. I’m actually not a fan of candy corn, but they just look so cute and are the perfect Halloween colors. Plus, it’s a good way to make sure that the candy bar is always stocked with something since no one eats it. lol! The bowls are filled with some Reese’s peanut butter cups which happen to be my favorite Halloween chocolate. I also picked up some cute Lindt chocolate pumpkins just because I loved the look. It’s not weird to buy candy based on how cute it looks, right?
Add some visual interest.
To make your candy bar more visually pleasing, vary the heights of the candy displays. You can do this by using different sized containers or adding in little trays or cake stands to vary the heights. For a few added Halloween touches, put out some holiday napkins or other Halloween decor pieces. I got the white wood pumpkin from the dollar bin at Target a few years ago and it works well as a background for fall and Halloween displays.
And there you have it. A quick and easy Halloween display that everyone will enjoy! Just be prepared to restock frequently. Don’t forget to grab the printable below before you leave and I’d love to see how you use it!
