St. Patrick’s Day will soon be here so it is time to think of all things green and lucky! While I know that the kids always enjoy all of the treats that tend to come with the holidays {and I must admit that I do too!}, I always try to balance things out with some healthier food options as well. Give these fun and healthy St. Patrick’s Day food ideas a go and your kids won’t even realize that they are all good for them!
You never know – you might just run into a Leprechaun or a pot o’ gold along the way! 🙂

St. Patrick’s Day is the perfect time to get your kids interested in green smoothies! They are a great way to sneak in some extra fruits and veggies and it can be lots of fun coming up with different ideas. Try this basic green smoothie recipe from Simply Recipes or come up with your own variations.
These grapesicles from Rosemarried are a fun idea – you can always stick with just green grapes for St. Patrick’s Day!
Or you could add a little green jello powder to make some Leprechaun “candy” {from Sweet Treats and More}

St. Patrick’s Day Fruit Skewers from Creative Juice.
Rainbow Veggies and Humus from JDaniel4’s Mom.

Rainbow waffles from Random Thoughts of a Supermom. {You could even do bananas for the clouds if you wanted to skip the whipped cream}
