The kids were pretty excited to give Daddy all of their presents that they had made. {You can see our handprint tree here}.
I also bought a recordable book at Walmart called Me and my Dad. There were about 15 questions throughout the book and the kids recorded their answers on each page. I think it will be fun to look back and hear their sweet voices as they talk about how much they love their Daddy {especially when they are 16 and driving us NUTS!}
After presents, the boys and I made up some French Toast kabobs {or kablobs as Matthew calls them} and sausages for a nice Father’s Day brunch. YUM!
On a completely different subject, I FINALLY headed over to check out Picnik today {in case you are wondering about the mix of pictures above!}. If there is anyone left out there who hasn’t heard of it, it is a fabulous picture editing site. I didn’t have very long to play around with it but I must share a picture of my favorite shark after his swimming lessons yesterday.
I can’t wait to check it out some more! As if I don’t spend enough time on the computer! {darn you Pinterest!}
I hope you all enjoy your Father’s Day with the special men in your lives!

I have never heard of the recordable book before but I love the idea. how much were they at Walmart? I saw that amazon.com has them for $24.95 Now the trick will be to find them somewhere in Canada where I live…

Melanie, Sorry I don’t have any way of getting back to you but I think the book was between $20 and $25. I am in Canada as well and found these at our local Walmart about 3 weeks ago (in Abbotsford, BC)

Well that gives me reason to have SOME hope! I am in Ontario so I will look and see if I can find them. Father’s Day is a long way away but that gives me time to get them before next year!!
