Whew! Is it just me or did September just totally fly by? Between the kids going back to school, beginning a new position at work, the start of hockey season, and trying to get a more regular blogging schedule, it’s been kind of crazy around here. I still don’t feel like I’ve quite found my groove with all of the new routines yet and definitely need to come up with a better plan. It’s progress over perfection, right?
October is such a beautiful month with all of the leaves changing and that fall crispness in the air. It’s a month of apple picking, pumpkin patches, pumpkin treats, and the unpacking of those fall sweaters and scarves. I can’t say that I look forward to moving into the winter months, so I try to enjoy October as much as possible. “I’m so glad that I live in a world with Octobers” seemed like the perfect quote to sum it all up.
With September almost over, it also means that our Canadian Thanksgiving will soon be here. I’ve been having lots of fun playing around with printables this fall and wanted to create something for our dining room that could be used for Thanksgiving dinner. I also have some coordinating printables that I’m working on for the Thanksgiving table, so be sure to check back for those too. For those of you, not celebrating Thanksgiving this month, I have a printable for you too. 🙂
I’ve been keeping some of the blues out this fall and mixing it in with more of the traditional fall colors. If you saw my fall kitchen tour, you may remember this Welcome Autumn printable that I had displayed. It worked perfectly with the color scheme that I had in my head so I wanted to create a couple of more printables with the same feel.
This “grateful, thankful, blessed” printable will be the one used in our dining room. I’ve been trying to make more of a deliberate effort to practice gratitude this year and wanted this to be an extra reminder. Sometimes {often?} I find myself getting stressed over things that really don’t matter and forget about all that I do have. Taking a little time each day to think of what I am grateful for really helps to put things into perspective. It’s been a very calming practice for me.

Hi Jennifer! It’s from Michaels. I haven’t seen the white one for a couple of years but they often have them in different colors. Sometimes they’re in with the rest of the photo frames, and other times I’ve seen them in with the home decor items. Hope that helps!

Oh my gracious, I am in awe of these, I come from a place in the U.S. where fall is celebrated with big Thanksgiving and leaf fights and pumpkin cooked and baked every way possible. Now we are on an island where there is no fall and no celebration, and pumpkin here is not like what we are used to so a big, big, big thank you, I am going to show the people here what thanksgiving is like where we come from. We are just a little ways from the Equator and it is always hot and humid but we are here to help people and that makes it so worth it. Again, a big, big, thank you. the pictures are going up on my wall very fast. LOL you are amazing, and hugs to you Sweetie.
