This Christmas home tour will help get you into the Christmas spirit and provide lots of Christmas decor inspiration that you can use in your own home!
Christmas Home Tour
Every year, I like to look back on our previous seasonal decor to get an idea of the direction I want to go for the current year. It really gets me excited for the Christmas season and helps to get those Christmas decor ideas flowing! I love switching up our decor each year and coming up with different ways to use items that we already have.
I’m definitely not a minimalist when it comes to Christmas decor. I love the lights and all of the different styles and color schemes. From classic red and white to neutral tones and pretty metallics or flocked trees to real trees, to green trees – there’s really not much that I don’t like!
So… before I get started on our Christmas decor from this year, I thought I would recap all of our Christmas room tours from last year. It’s kind of fun to see what stays, what gets changed, and what ends up going from year to year. You can click on any of the rooms to get further information and lots more photos and inspiration for each space. I hope you enjoy it!
Christmas Porch
I had more of a vintage feel to our front porch last year using some vintage sleds and flocked trees for a snowy look.
I’m still going to be using some fresh greenery this year but it will be more of a classic Christmas-style. The sleds might just have to come inside! 🙂

Christmas Front Entry
A few Christmas touches to your front entry always makes for a warm welcome for guests and a happy way to come home! I went with a Merry red and white theme for our front entry way last year.
I actually made a few decor changes to the front entry this year that I haven’t had a chance to show you yet, so I was excited to decorate the space this year. I went a little more muted with some pretty Christmas touces.

Chistmas Dining Room
I loved the green and white dining room so much from last year, that it inspired me to add more green to our home this year!
This DIY felt gingerbread garland was one of my favorite proects last year, and I used it as inspiration for another space this year.
The Christmas tree in this room is always my favorite one to decorate. It’s the first thing you see when you come through the front door and you can pretty much see it from every room on our main floor. I added some more metallics this year, but kept a lot of aspects of the tree the same.
Last year was the first time I used amber glass in our Christmas decor, and it will definitely be back this year {with a little twist!}. Dried oranges also go perfectly with the amber glass and the Christmas lights almost make them glow.

Christmas Kitchen
I went full on with the red and white Christmas decor in our kitchen last year. I have a little Santa mug and accessories collection that started it all. They’re a fun mix of functional and cute Christmas decor!
I’ve also had this racoon tea pot and mug collection for years that I always like to display.
If you love the red and white decor, this Rudolph’s Milk and Cookie Co. sign goes with pretty much anything. I used it in the kitchen last year and in our dining room the year before.
Christmas Living Room
I carried the red and white into our living room as well.
I’m always a sucker for sweet Christmas animals and found this cute Christmas mouse at HomeSense. They add a little touch of nostalgia.
I kept the mantel more neutral with snowflakes, pom poms, and my DIY air-dry stars. And, of course, the stockings were hung by the chimney with care.
It was definitely a well-used space for watching all of those Christmas movies! 🙂
We even had a portable hot chocolate bar cart on hand.
Christmas Bedroom
Last year was the first year that I totally decorated our bedroom and I loved it!
I even had my own chocolate advent calendar. 🙂
We finally finished off the rest of the updates to this room this year, and I can’t wait to show you how it looks now! {HINT: I went with a totally different color scheme}.
My favorite thing about decorating our bedroom for Christmas was having another tree! I actually left it up in there until February as I just couldn’t bring myself to pack it away.
