Hey guys! I’m just in the midst of finishing up my book {1 more week to go!} and have pretty much been glued to the computer for the past few weeks. Hopefully you’ve all been able to enjoy summer more than I have – I can’t wait to get things completed and get back outside again! We haven’t been having the best summer weather though so at least I haven’t been missing out on too much sunshine. 😉
Last week I showed you part 1 of our summer home tour and I thought that I would finish things up today with the rest of the house. I’ve written so many pages for the book over the last week that I’m short on words, but hopefully all of the photos will make up for it. I’ll keep things brief, but I hope you enjoy the tour.
We added a simple planked wall to our front entry a couple of months ago {you can find the tutorial HERE} and the white really brightened up the whole entryway and provided a nice contrast against a few pops of color.
When I re-did the entry I moved out this ladder and placed it just around the corner just to get it out of the way while I finished things up. Two months later and it’s still there! It’s now adopted my fern so I think it will be staying for a while.
Our dining room is the first room that you see when you come in the front door and is probably one of my favorite areas to decorate. While we don’t actually eat in here a whole lot {especially during the summer when I like to eat outside}, it’s still visible from all of the rooms on our main floor.
I always keep the summer decorating pretty simple and it’s mostly about just switching a few things around. The dough bowl succulent planter got moved in from the kitchen table and I added in some faux hydrangeas and a little greenery into the hutch. {The cute mason jar printable is a free download from I Should be Mopping the Floor}
My one new item is this vintage style baking sign that I got from Decor Steals. It was kind of an impulse purchase, and I actually had no idea where I was going to put it when I brought it home, but I thought it worked well above our hutch.
My other favorite thing that I like to switch up each season is our little beverage bar. It’s back to a good ol’ lemonade stand. If you want to make your own you can find the download for the labels HERE.
We use it to make up our favorite cherry raspberry lemonade slushies.
The other side of the dining room has our side bar which got a summer chalkboard added and a few other seasonal touches.
I managed to find one last bouquet of peonies before they went out of season. I especially love the pink ones but had to settle for white. 🙂
I was hoping to get a few more shots of our piano room for you guys, but I still haven’t figured out how to photograph in there with all of the windows. Here ‘s a couple of close up shots for you though to leave you with.
I loved the quote on this pillow and had to get it. It takes me straight to the beach!
Thanks so much for stopping by! If you want to check out the first part of the tour, you can find it HERE.
Love your house Jenn! Thanks for the tour! You have inspired me!
Thanks so much Faye! I appreciate you dropping in! 🙂
Your home is so awesome Jenn, love how comfy it looks. You have so many great touches to set off pieces of furniture. I always get ideas for things I have to display.
Hardly get outside for the heat, makes me dizzy. Hung sheets out yesterday, were dry in short time. We usually have good breeze out here. Loved your home tour.
Have wonderful weekend. Mine will be if can get hubs to go to lake 7 1/2 miles from our house.
Thank-you! Hopefully you can send some of your heat our way as we have had a very cloudy and rainy start to our summer! Hope you convinced your husband to take you for a few lake days! 😉
What an inspirational quote on that pillow! Lovely place!
Thanks! Yes – I love that quote!

It looks so beautiful!

Your home is absolutely lovely! Thank you for sharing at #HomeMattersParty
Hi! Can I ask if you painted the armoire and table in your dining room? I have the exact same one in a chestnut color. I love it in gray! If you did would you mind sharing the products you used?
Yes, I did paint it. It’s Annie Sloan chalk paint in graphite. 🙂
Love the home! What color or grey did you use on your wall?
Thanks Shannon! It’s Grey Owl from Benjamin Moore – it’s a really nice grey with no blue undertones.
Can you tell me where you bought your beautiful dinning room hutch and table and chairs?
Thank you!
I bought them at The Brick years ago. They were originally a bright honey wood stain but I painted them with Annie Sloan chalk paint in Graphite about 4 years ago. Paint makes such a difference!
I loved everything about this post ❤️ Is there a tutorial on your book page wreath?
Thanks Glenda! Here’s the link for the tutorial. It’s an old one so the photo quality isn’t that great, but it should still be helpful. 🙂

I love your ideas/ home!!!
Plz where did you find the white bench that you use in your front entrance?
Thanks, Marcia!
Thanks so much Marcia! I actually got that bench when we first moved into the house – about 16 years ago. It was originally a honey color and I painted it white. The extra storage in it is so nice. If I find something similar online, I’ll link to it in the post. Thanks for reading!
