My ruffled pumpkin kicked off my fall crafting last week and this weekend I started pulling out the rest of the fall decor items {which are still not all put away!}. I’m still working on getting things arranged the way I like it but I do have a few more fall projects to show you this week. Time has been really short around here lately so I have been trying to keep my crafting projects really simple – something that I can easily complete {and hopefully clean up!} after the kids have gone to bed.
My Mom picked a wreath up for me from Home Sense {thanks Mom!}. It was on clearance for a couple of dollars and I kind of wish I had gone back to pick up a couple more!
I went through my scrapbooking stash and pulled out this paper from Chatterbox. It must be at least 5 or 6 years old so it was nice to use some of it up!
I cut out some leaves, folded them down the middle and then inked the edges and the middle fold with some brown ink. If you are using some lighter weight paper, it would also look kind of cool if the paper was first crumpled up a bit.
Once the leaves were done, I hot glued them on to the wreath. I cut out the burlap pennant, added some scrapbooking stickers, and tied it up with some baker’s twine.
It’s definitely a simple wreath, but I quite like it! It has found a nice spot on a shelf in our piano room.
Have you all moved on to fall yet or are you still holding on to those last glory days of summer? There are still officially two more days until fall so soak up those summer moments as much as you can!
Enjoy the rest of the week!
