Add a few pops of fall to your kitchen with these easy fall kitchen decor ideas. Just a few little touches can quickly transform your space for the season! You’ll find lots of fall inspiration with this beautiful line-up of fall home tours.
Fall Home Tours
It’s the start of the fall home tours! If you haven’t guessed it yet, I love decorating for the different seasons, and fall is such a gorgeous season to decorate for. Beautiful colors, cozy textures, and lots of natural elements. If you’re not feeling inspired for fall yet, a few fall home tours will always do the trick!
Today, I’m joining Marty from A Stroll Through Life for her week-long fall home tour series. Each day you can tour 6 beautiful homes dressed up in their best fall decor. I always love seeing all of the different styles and creative ideas that everyone comes up with – it’s a wealth of fall inspiration! For those of you coming over from Our Southern Home – welcome! I’m sure you enjoyed looking around Christy’s lovely traditional home.
Our Fall Kitchen Decor
I’m sure you’ve already figured it out, but today I wanted to invite you to tour around our fall kitchen. I went with a traditional orange color scheme this year and love how the orange just pops off of the white.
Dress Up the Sink.
I always enjoy dressing up our sink area for each season. It just takes a couple of minutes and makes washing the dishes so much nicer! I also enjoy switching up our soap scents and am currently using Mrs. Meyers pumpkin spice. It smells so good! I also have a bottle of the apple cider scent which I think I love even more – I just couldn’t find a hand soap to go with it. The faux berries were from Crate and Barrel a couple of years ago and add a strong punch of orange to the whole kitchen.
Create seasonal vignettes with functional items.
Kitchen counter space is always prime real estate, so I try to dress it up with functional items that we use on a regular basis. Apples are a staple around here – especially during the fall. I usually go apple picking at least a few times each season and enjoy trying all of the different apple varieties and recipes {this applesauce and salted caramel apple pie are my favorites!}. I ended up putting together this cute apple corner since to store all of our freshly picked apples.
Since we do sometimes get fruit flies if we leave fresh fruit out, I’ve been using this Aunt Fannie’s natural fruit fly trap and they’ve totally been gone {you can also DIY your own fruit fly trap}. I keep it tucked in behind the basket, so it keeps the fruit flies away without being seen.
Use free fall printables.
I brought out this fox free fall printable that I used in our dining room last year. He ended up going with perfectly with our fox kitchen towel. You can grab the printable HERE if you would like one. {NOTE: I do realize that “loveliest” is spelled wrong in the print shown, but the printable is spelled correctly! I just keep forgetting to print out a new one for myself.}
You can also find my newest fall printable along with 30 other beautiful fall printable ideas HERE.
Add a chalkboard.
Chalkboards are great for easily adding seasonal touches without having to spend any money. I think I have at least one in almost every room. I like to change them up quite frequently, so I usually keep the designs pretty simple. Don’t be afraid to try a little chalkboard art. Anyone can do it and, if you don’t like it, you can just erase it! You can find some of my chalkboard tips HERE.
Create a seasonal vignette.
I like to keep all of our smoothie ingredients out in glass jars in one corner of our kitchen. Since we have smoothies daily, it just makes everything more easily accessible and reminds me to eat healthier. I also like to dress this corner up a bit for the different seasons with a cute seasonal vignette.
It’s a bit of a mix of functional items {kitchen towels, napkins, drink coasters, etc.} with a few decorative items thrown in there. And, of course, I have to have a seasonal candle. I think the fall scents are my favorite of them all!
This farm fresh pumpkin printable will be coming to the blog soon {along with an apple picking printable}, so stay tuned!
Put together a simple centerpiece.
It only takes a few minutes to put together a seasonal centerpiece. This “vintage” truck was filled with flowers for the summer and I just replaced them with a few faux pumpkins, a couple of twigs of berries, and a little metal sign for the fall. I always like to look for centerpieces that are easy to change up each season – glass jars that can be filled with real or faux stems, dough bowls, terrariums, etc.
Thank-you so much for touring around our kitchen with me! I hope you found an idea or two that you can use in your own home. Remember that seasonal decorating doesn’t have to take a lot of time, effort, or money. Just a few little touches can make all the difference!
Follow the parade of fall home tours.
To continue on with the fall home tours, please head over to House by Hoff. You’ll love April’s gorgeous style. Her bright and airy fall mantel was one of my favorites and her early fall dining room has the same beautiful vibe! I hope you’re able to see all of the rest of the home tours this week as well. Grab a hot apple cider or pumpkin spice latte and tour all of the fall homes around blog land!
You can find the tours for all of the days here and I’ll update as the week goes on. Happy fall decorating!

Thank you so much for incorporating apples into your fall season decor. I love this time of year when I can go outside and pick those precious gems right off the tree! This time of year, when school is just starting and the wonderful fruits, like pears, apples, and plums, are ripe for the picking, is a time to enjoy. There’s plenty of time for pumpkins (I love pumpkin season as well) and trick or treating. I just like to savor the time of changing leaves, fresh apples and gathering in the harvest.
Oh, and by the way, your home is so beautiful and fresh!
Jenn Lifford says
I totally agree! I love this transition time between summer and fall too – and some of my favorite fruits too! 😉

Hi Jenn!
Your kitchen looks so pretty all dressed up for fall! I really like the smoothie vignette – such a neat idea! I’m letting you know that you’re one of my features this week at Homestyle Gathering link party! I hope to see you at the party!
>>> Kim
Jenn Lifford says
Thanks so much for the feature! That smoothie bar definitely gets well used and one of the few things I leave up year round. 🙂
Stephanie Kelly says
I love your kitchen! You’ve definitely inspired me for the fall! Do you have any affiliate links that I can purchase some items from?
Jenn Lifford says
Thanks so much! Most of my items are from Home Sense, Decor Steals or local stores so there really weren’t many affiliate links that I could add. If you have anything specific that you were wondering about though, let me know though and I can try to help you out. This year’s kitchen tour should be out around mid-September and I’ll try to include affiliate links whenever I can. 🙂
Stephanie Kelly says
Where did you purchase the round wooden tray and hay bail in the corner?
Jenn Lifford says
The tray is from Decor Steals. It’s a daily deal site so you kind of have to keep your eyes out for it. I try to share on social media when I see it on there as I get so many emails about that tray. The hay bail was from Home Sense. They usually have a bunch of them out at this time of year, but I was just at ours today and the store is SO empty. I’m hoping they get more fall stock in!
Kathy Bridges says
Everything is BEAUTIFUL! You have a gift to decorate! Can I please ask where you bought the white basket holding your soap and dishwashing liquid?
Jenn Lifford says
Thanks so much! I bought the white basket a couple of years ago from Target. It’s white ceramic but I don’t believe they carry them anymore. Sorry!
