Join in the Canadian Bloggers’ Fall Home Tour for beautiful fall home decor ideas to inspire you for the season.
Welcome! I hope you’ve been enjoying the first few days of fall!
Today I’m joining Shannon from AKA Design and Christina from The DIY Mommy for a fall inspired Canadian Bloggers’ Home Tour. Myself and 28 other Canadian bloggers will be giving your a little peek inside our homes to share our fall decor ideas with you. I hope you’ll join us on this Canada-wide tour – you can find all of the links at the end of the post!
I decided to divide up my fall tour this year into specific rooms. I find that it’s a little less overwhelming that way and makes it easier for you guys to find what you’re looking for. Last week I showed you our fall front porch, front entry, and dining room, and today we’re moving into the kitchen. I did give you some simple tips to add fall to your kitchen a couple of weeks ago, but I have the full tour today and lots of pics of the full space. I hope you enjoy it!
I actually love decorating the kitchen and find that it’s the quickest and easiest space for me to decorate. Our kitchen chalkboard is usually one of the first things to be switched up. Since I change it every 1-2 months, I usually keep the designs pretty basic. They’re still fun to do though. 😉 I’m also kind of obsessed with tea towels, so those usually get switched around too.
Now that I’ve been decorating our kitchen for so many years, I kind of have a few areas of the kitchen that are “reserved” for seasonal decorating. It makes it super easy to switch things around while still keeping the majority of the space available for all of those required kitchen items. I love how just a few little touches can really change things up!
I purchased this “scale” clock from Decor Steals a few years ago and always add a few seasonal items to the top of it. Usually it’s just a few of my favorite tea towels and a couple of other festive touches. For fall, you can never go wrong with white pumpkin boos.
I call this my little “healthy corner” where I keep all of my smoothie/yogurt/salad toppings. The jars hold chia seeds, flax seeds, cocoa powder, unsweetened coconut, granola, and nuts. It’s amazing how much more I use them when they are out in plain sight! Since I still wanted to keep these out, I just added a few berry sprigs for a little pop of orange.
The Welcome Autumn printable {along with a few more cute fall and Thanksgiving printables!} will be coming to the blog on Thursday so stay tuned!
Moving to the other side of the kitchen, it’s all about the berry branches.
When I saw this wheelbarrow at Home Sense, I was thinking that I would put it out on my porch. While it was sitting on the kitchen counter waiting for me to get our porch decorated, it ended up being a nice fruit basket and in the corner it went. Some things are just meant to be.
For the fall centerpiece, I just switched out the greenery that was previously in there with a couple of faux berry stems. I picked up the velvet pumpkins {that are also in blues in our fall dining room} at the dollar section of Target. I actually wish I’d bought more!
Can you spot my little Sammy dog? He’s never too far from me and I didn’t have the heart to move him. 🙂
Last up is our kitchen hutch. It’s mostly just white serving trays and platters so I can really add in whatever colour palette I like.
Thank-you so much for dropping in. I wish all of you a pumpkin-filled, sweater-wearing, wonderful fall! Grab your free fall printable {and find links to 20+ more!} before you leave! xo

Oh Jenn, your home is so welcoming! I love how you’ve added all of the gorgeous bittersweet berries, they are the perfect Fall touch! I think my fave though is Mr. Fox and that beautifully lettered Fall greeting – completely adorable! xo
Jenn Lifford says
Thanks so much Laurie! Yes, I love that Mr. Fox too. I can never have too many tea towels! lol! Happy fall!
Joann @ Woman In Real Life says
Your kitchen is completely lovely! I adore the little wheelbarrow and the fox towel. Oh, and the velvet pumpkins. I want to buy a hundred of them. Too bad we don’t have Target. 🙁 I actually don’t think to decorate my kitchen much. Maybe it’s because the counters are usually piled with the family’s cast-off papers and toys. I need to get on this. You’ve inspired me!
Heather says
I adore all your rustic touches. What a beautiful kitchen! And that foxy tea towel? Love it.

Hello! Thank you for all the fall decorating ideas, I like them very much.
Apart from the seasonal touches, I see you have a carpet under the table. I would really like to put one under my table as well.
Is it easy to keep the carpet clean with all the family – children included – eating together around the table?
Jenn Lifford says
Yes, I’ve had no problems keeping it clean. Just make sure you look for something that is low pile and can be cleaned easily with water. I do a quick vaccuum under it with our cordless every day or two.
