Our Spring Home Tour
Last week I shared our spring and Easter kitchen decor…
…and today I’m moving on to the dining room.
I always look forward to the start of spring, but, I have to say, I think this year takes it to a whole other level! My soul is craving the warmer weather and brighter days SO much more this year, and I can’t wait to be able to socialize outside with friends and family again. So, in celebration of spring and all the hope that it brings, I’m sharing some fun and pretty ways to add some spring and Easter decor to your home!
Even though I used these ideas in our dining room, it doesn’t mean that you can’t incorporate them into other spaces in your home. You can really create a little vignette anywhere to help brighten things up! Get creative and use these ideas to add some spring and Easter decor anywhere you’d like!
Easter Dining Room Decorating Ideas
Our dining room is the first room that you see when you enter our home, so I probably spend a little more time decorating it than I would otherwise. I’ve collected quite a few white bunnies over the years, and most of them reside here during the spring {although they have definitely started migrating into other rooms in the house as well!}.
I actually haven’t really bought any spring or Easter decor over the last couple of years, but love to switch up items that I already have. There are lots of different ways that you can display your seasonal decor pieces and it’s kind of fun coming up with new ways to use them. Here are 5 Easter dining room decorating ideas using items that we already had…
Easter Sideboard
Our sideboard is one of the first areas that I decorate. This year, I turned it into a fun Easter chocolate and candy bar. There’s even some faux chocolate in there, so I know it won’t all completely disappear!
You can find all of the details of the candy bar as well as the free Chocolates and Confectioneries Easter printable in THIS POST. Although I used our sideboard, you could do your own mini-version in a kitchen corner, on a tray, or any other little table that you have in your home. Just stock it with your favorite treats and the little printable.
Easter Centerpiece
I love shopping our home and finding items that work well together for a centerpiece. Look for basic pieces that can be used throughout the different seasons and then just change up the details seasonally. Pretty bowls, terrariums and other glass containers, or trays all work well for this.
I shared this DIY Easter centerpiece a couple of days ago and it was so quick and easy to put together. You could always add some fresh flowers, real greenery, or any other seasonal decor pieces that you love too. Putting it all on a tray ties it together and makes it easy to move on and off the table when needed. Again, if you don’t need a table centerpiece, this same ideas would be cute on a large shelf or side table display in your living room.
Easter Beverage Bar
Even if you’re not yet having guests in your home, you can still set up a simple seasonal beverage bar for your own family. It can be for your coffee/tea, a hot chocolate bar, or even just a flavored water bar.
I always use this little corner in our dining room for some kind of beverage bar with this tray stand and mug ladder. I found the bunny mugs at HomeSense a couple of years ago which inspired the Hippity Hop for the printable.
The bunny pitcher works well for some flavored lemon water and can also double as a flower pitcher if anyone wants to bring me some fresh flowers. 😉
The bucket on the mug ladder holds some hot chocolate powder and marshmallows. {You can get the Easter hot chocolate labels HERE.}
And then I just have a few chocolates on the tray along with a set of bunny salt and pepper shakers. They’re filled with cinnamon – one of my favorite hot chocolate toppings!
Free Easter Printables
It’s no secret how much I love creating printables! They’re such a quick and easy way to add a seasonal touch and don’t require any additional storage in the off season. I actually have a whole post with all of the free Easter printables I’ve created over the years, so you can check those out for lots of different design styles and ideas.
In addition to the Chocolates and Confectioneries printable that I we have on our sideboard, I have two more new Easter printables that will be out on the blog next week. They all coordinate together so you can mix and match them wherever you like! This Hippity Hoppity one is on our beverage bar tray and the other one is hanging on the wall beside our hutch. You can’t see it very well there in the photos so here’s the close-up…
Well that wraps up our little tour! Thank-you so much for dropping in and I hope you’re inspired to add a little spring and Easter decor to your own home. If you’re new here and would like to stay in touch, you can always find me here..

Every year annew you craft so captivating printables!
So, your actual easter illustrations are so cute but unfortunately “Hippity Hoppity” and “Happy Easter” aren’t present as a free printable 🙁 At least I couldn’t find them in your easter printables. It would be so nice if you still offer them afterwards.
Jenn Lifford says
I’m glad you like the printables! As stated in the post, the Hippity Hoppity and Happy Easter are both new printables and will be up on the blog this week (on Wednesday). Enjoy! 🙂

So cute! new visiter here, looking forward to reading back stories. I already printed and framed the chocolate and confectioneries and it is in the kitchen now…also love the hippy hoppy and am planning on copying that very useful clipboard. Thank you for these, do you paint these pictures?
Jenn Lifford says
So glad you like the printables! The Hippity Hoppity one will be out on Wednesday. I wish I could paint like that but I purchase most of my graphics and then just create the printables. (Most are purchased through Creative Market). 🙂

Your sideboard looks great. Your bunnies are so cute. Happy Spring!
Ashley Griffiths says
What kind of dining room table is this? Where did you get it?
Jenn Lifford says
We actually bought it from The Brick when we got married over 20 years ago. It was originally a honey colored stain and I gave it a refresh a number of years ago with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in graphite.
Barbara says
Do you have a source for the carrot towel by chance? So cute and works perfectly with your decor. Thanks
Jenn Lifford says
I got it from HomeSense a couple of years ago but just picked up another set this year (same pattern, just slightly different material).
Kiva says
The faux chocolate bunnies are a great idea! First thing I thought when I saw the pictures was… looks nice except they’ll get eaten by my kids… then I read that they aren’t real. Sounds like a good, and necessary, trick!
Jenn Lifford says
haha! Yes, real chocolate does not last long around here either! 😉
