Happy Saturday! I hope you guys are all having a great weekend. Dave is away this weekend so it is just me and the boys. Looks like a day of skating and soccer is in my future!
So, today I am continuing on with my Turkey week projects. A couple of days ago I showed you the turkey treats that Connor took to school for Thanksgiving. Thanks to Make Life Delicious, we made these cute little cornucopia treats for Matthew’s class. Such a fun Thanksgiving treat for kids!

These would be perfect to make for the kids table at Thanksgiving. I don’t know if I would want to make 25 of them again but they do get easier the more you make!
MATERIALS
- waffle cones
- candies of your choice {we used skittles and Reece’s Pieces for ours}
- small plastic bags
- tags {you can download my printable here}
- ribbon
- Fill up the bottom third of the cone with water and run the outside of the cone under warm water for approximately 20-30 seconds to soften the cone. Dump the water out.
- Place the cone in the microwave for approximately 20-30 seconds. You want the cone pliable but not too soft that it starts to break.
- Wrap the end of the roll around a small wood dowel or pen. Hold in place until it starts to cool and harden. {If the cone gets too softened, you can blast it with some air from a hairdryer to speed the drying process up!}
- Place your treats in the plastic bag and tie a knot in the top. Place in your cone.
- Cut out your tag {you can download mine here}, punch a hole, and tie with ribbon around the cone. I found that the ribbon kept slipping so I placed an elastic band around the cone first {see picture above} and then covered it with the ribbon.
These would also be great to fill with snack mixes or fruit gummies. If you were serving them at the table and don’t have to worry about wrapping them, you could also fill them with some raw veggies. Not quite as fun as candy, but more realistic I guess! 🙂
What would you fill them with?
Have a great weekend and don’t forget to join me for the rest of Turkey Week!

How clever! Also what a fun thing to have at the table for kids. I can’t believe you figured out how to turn that end without breaking it! Way to go!
