So how is all of your kitchen organizing going along? Have you got most things checked off of your February To Do list? I have done a lot of the items but we are just about to start a little kitchen makeover so the rest of the tasks are going to have to wait until after we are done. After spending weeks trying to decide what kitchen design I liked best, I finally have everything picked out and can’t wait to get started! {Did you see my countertops and tiles on Instagram?} I’m sure I’ll have tons more to show you once everything is completed so stay tuned!
Anyways…today I am just popping in with a quick post. I have had a few emails lately asking about how to clean a glass top stove. I have tried a variety of different green cleaning methods as well as some of the commercial cleaners out there and this is what I have found works best for me…
Yep, just two items are all that is needed to keep your stove top clean and shiny – a Norwex window cloth and a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Scotch Brite also makes a window {or polishing} cloth that is available at Target but I’m partial to my Norwex cloths. {NOTE: This is not a sponsored post in anyway – just two products that I love!}
After cooking, I use a microfiber cloth to remove any loose crumbs and then use a wet Magic Eraser to easily scrub away any burnt on messes. I then spray down the whole stove top with water and polish with the window cloth. I have used baking soda in the past to clean but it took much more scrubbing time and I always found it difficult to completely get rid of that baking soda residue. This method just takes one or two minutes and I have been much happier with the results.
What about you? Any great tips for cleaning your stove top?

Hi, I love your kitchen organization. I was wondering if applied the grommets to your dish gloves and micro-fiber cloth?
Thanks

Hi Cheryl,
No, that top picture in the collage is from Better Homes and Gardens. The Norwex cloths that I use have a hanger sewn into them so I don’t need to attach anything to mine. I bet a crop-o-dile would able to apply grommets though if you would like. Let me know if you give it a try!

Jenn Lifford says
Oh! Sorry i didn’t clarify that! I just spray it down with water. 🙂

I agree 100% with the norwex cloth. Use them all the time. I will use a product called cera,abryte as well… Works great

THANK YOU for this post!!! We recently moved into a rental home and the kitchen has a glass top. I’ve been struggling with how to clean it without getting a nasty chemical cleaner. Thank you! 🙂

Hi! I just discovered your blog and love it, love it, love it!!! About cleaning glass-top stoves, though — how do you get off the stuff that’s burned on it already? Nothing seems to work!
Thanks!

It looks like this was an old comment but for some reason it is just coming through now. There is a Norwex paste that I sometimes use if it is really burned on {you could also use a baking soda paste} but I usually just use a Mr Clean Magic Erase {or the Norwex equivalent}, and then wipe it down with water and a Norwex window cloth to remove all of the residue.

So glad you love Norwex! If you ever need a refill, contact me anytime! Thanks for sharing.
