These Christmas seven layer bars will be the hit of any Christmas cookie platter! It’s a quick and easy recipe that will soon be a family favorite.
Christmas Cookie Hop
This is my second recipe this week, so you know Christmas must be near! I’m not usually much of a baker, but the holidays definitely inspire me to get a little more creative in the kitchen. Today I’m taking part in a fun virtual Christmas cookie exchange with Maryann from Domestically Speaking. We’re all sharing our favorite Christmas cookie recipes with so be sure to check them all out. You’ll have the best Christmas cookie platter ever!
Christmas Seven Layer Bars
Everyone always loves a good seven layer bar, so I thought I would just spruce them up a bit for the holidays. These are quick and easy to make and perfect for the busy Christmas season.

Christmas Seven Layer Bars
Ingredients
- 1 16.5 oz roll refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
- 1 cup salted caramel chocolate chips
- 1 cup milk chocolate chocolate chips
- 1 cup lightly salted nuts of your choice, coarsely chopped
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 1/4 cups Christmas colored chocolate candies
- 1 cup coconut
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350F. Line a 13x9 inch baking pan with foil, extending the foil over the edges. Lightly grease the foil.
-
Slice the cookie dough into 1/2 inch rounds and press into the bottom of the pan. Be sure to cover the bottom completely. Bake for 5 minutes.
-
Top the cookie crust with the dry ingredients in the following order: salted caramel chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips, nuts, sweetened condensed milk, half the coconut, Christmas candy pieces, the remaining coconut. Press down firmly with the back of a spoon.
-
Bake for 25 minutes or until the edges are slightly brown. Cool in the pan. Use the foil to lift out the bars and cut into squares. Store at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to 7-10 days.
Since it’s still pretty early for Christmas, I couldn’t find any of the holiday colored candy bags so I had to go through the bulk bin and try to pick as many of the red and green ones that I could get in a scoop! Hopefully, you’ll have better luck finding the Christmas colors. lol!
Christmas Cookie Bar
Now that you have all of your Christmas cookies lined up, try putting together an easy cookie bar for your next holiday gathering. Just place a variety of cookies out on some plates or cake platters, add some cute Christmas napkins or plates, and you’re all set. A little milk on the side is always a good touch!
You can even grab this free North Pole Cookie Co. Christmas printable to go along with it.
