Christmas Kitchen Decor
Welcome to our Christmas kitchen! Today I wanted to share some simple Christmas kitchen decor ideas with you. Just a few easy touches can really add that pop of Christmas to your kitchen space! Here are some of my favorite tips…
Pick an inspirational starting point.
I don’t usually do big themes for my seasonal decor, but I do like to have an item or two that really serves as a starting point. It can be an object, a color scheme, a pattern that you love – whatever inspires you! This year, I took my inspiration from this cute gnome cookie jar that I found at World Market and pulled the red and white color scheme along with a few gnome touches.
Grab some free seasonal printables.
You can’t get much easier and inexpensive than a free printable! There are so many different designs available that you’re sure to find some that go with your style and color scheme. Just search Pinterest or Google for free Christmas printables or check out some of my past free Christmas printable posts HERE, HERE, and HERE. If your partial to gnomes, you can grab my Christmas gnome printable too!
Use cookie jars for storage.
Cookie jars can be used for more than just cookies! They’re a great way to add some Christmas decor to your kitchen while still providing some useful storage. Use them to store extra kitchen towels, cleaning supplies, seasonal baking supplies, other food items, and more! Of course, you can still store all your Christmas cookies too! 🙂
Utilize trays to minimize clutter.
Create small vignettes on trays to corral of your items in one spot. Not only does this make it much easier to clean your counter spaces, but it also gives it a less cluttered feel. Use a mix of functional kitchen items with a couple of Christmas decor pieces.
Add some seasonal cleaning products.
I love changing up a few of my cleaning products each season. It just makes cleaning so much more festive! Since you’d be buying the items anyways, it doesn’t really cost you anything to buy a seasonal scent. This peppermint scent from Mrs. Meyer’s smells amazing and definitely makes cleaning the kitchen a little less painful.
Light it up.
If you’ve been around here for a while, you know how much I love my twinkle lights! I actually like to use them all year round, but I go full out at Christmas! I have lots of little battery-operated twinkle lights throughout the kitchen that are all on timers. They’re set to go on around 4:00 – just when it’s getting dark and I’m starting to think about what to make for dinner!
Have some fun.
Play around with a Christmas vignette or two and have some fun with your decorating. I usually have another printable in this area, but went with another gnome this time. It balances out the gnomes throughout the kitchen! 🙂
Create a simple Christmas centerpiece.
I always love putting together different centerpieces each year for the table. This year, I found this rustic red metal basket and knew it would be perfect with some flocked greenery. I then added a couple of candle holders {with battery operated lights}, some flocked pine cones, a few Christmas ornaments and {of course!} some twinkle lights for a quick and easy Christmas centerpiece.
Thanks so much for touring around our kitchen with me. I hope you found the Christmas kitchen decor tips helpful and found some inspiration to do a little decorating in your own kitchen! Be sure to come back tomorrow for our Christmas family room!

Your white trees on your kitchen trays are so cute!! Where can I purchase some? Your kitchen decor looks amazing.
Jenn Lifford says
The white ones were from World Market last year. I actually looked this year to see about getting a couple more but I don’t think they carried them again. The mercury glass ones were from Hobby Lobby {and I saw some really similar ones at Home Sense}. Thanks so much for dropping in!

Where did you purchase the round wooden trivet? It’s perfect and I can’t find anything like it.
Jenn Lifford says
I got it from Decor Steals. It’s a daily deal site but it does come back periodically. If you search “wooden footed cellar tray” on Google, there are some other website options that it can be purchased at. 🙂
Nancy says
Really cute! You do have a lot of pop up ads, hard to see the content.
Tina says
I know this post is old but can you please tell me where the measuring cups came from? They look to be Rae Dunn but I can’t find them!
Jenn Lifford says
They do look like Rae Dunn but I don’t think they were. I got them at Nordstrom Rack.
Lindsey says
Hi, I came across your blog and your kitchen is beautifully decorated for Christmas! Where did you get that cute white basket to hold your cleaning supplies in? I love it!

It was from Target a few years ago. I think from the Magnolia line.

Thanks so much! The counters are Stone Grey quartz from Caesarstone (we got ours at a local counter store) and the tile is marble subway tiles from Home Depot. 🙂
