Yesterday I showed you our Christmas porch, so now it is time to move inside for some Christmas mantel decor inspiration! The mantel is always one of my favorite places to decorate. This year I went with traditional Christmas colors with a bit of a rustic touch.
The one thing that I did not get a chance to finish are the wooden boxes. I actually built these in the summer but have still not had a chance to paint them. It is one of the first things on my 2014 To Do list!
These reindeer head stocking holders are one of my favorite finds from this year. My other new purchase is the sweater ball garland from Target – just the perfect pop of color.
I always love looking back on all of our Santa photos. I actually have photos spread out throughout the house but many of them sit on the shelves below our mantel. Many of the frames are just our daily photo frames. I keep the Christmas photos tucked behind our regular photos and then just switch them out during the Christmas season.
Most of the other decor is just pinecones, some greenery, and some favorite ornaments.
We will be decorating the tree tonight so I will show you the rest of the tour tomorrow! Have a wonderful day!
I shared this post at Lil Luna, Design Dining and Diapers and Tidy Mom.

What a good idea to keep the Christmas photos in the frames all year behind the other photos! Why didn’t I think of that?! Please tell me where on earth you found those reindeer head stocking holders!!! LOVE them!

I got the stocking holders at a local store called Spruce Collectibles {in Abbotsford, B.C.} Sorry – that’s probably not much help to you!
