You know what I love about kids? They are so easy to impress! For some reason, the addition of a couple of chocolate chips always makes things fabulous.
For all of you who have kids overloaded with sugar at this time of year (well, pretty much now through to Christmas!) here’s a healthier snack that they still seem to love!
How To:
Okay, I realize you probably don’t need instructions on how to make these but in case anyone is wondering here it is. Cut a banana in half. Line the bottom of a pan with juice and roll the banana in it. Place some coconut in a ziploc bag and roll the banana in that and add some eyes with chocolate chips. Put the banana on a stick and boo away! I made these last year for my son’s Kindergarten class and they looked really cute all lined up.
My hubby (yes, the one who thought my fridge ghost looked like Mickey Mouse!) thought my original banana ghost picture looked a little obscene. I kind of had to agree with him on that one. I added a pumpkin behind it to give it more Halloween flare. Definitely more spooky now!
We eat these guys all year round. Most of the time I am too lazy to add the juice and the coconut part and just slap on a couple of chocolate chips. And that is what is so great about my boys. They still love them just the same!
