Mother’s Day Balloon Centerpieces
With Mother’s Day coming up, I thought that I’d come up with a fun balloon centerpiece for our Mother’s Day brunch – and I wanted pink! I love all of the different shades of pink, but with two boys, I don’t get to decorate with it very often. This floral balloon centerpiece incorporates all of my favorites – pinks, greenery, and pretty flowers.
This tablescape was super easy to put together and took me just over 30 minutes once I had the idea down. I love all of the layers and the bright pops of color from the balloons {and of course the pink!}.
How to Make Balloon Centerpieces
Materials
- Balloons of various sizes/colors to match your theme. I used three shades of pink as well as white balloons for this Mother’s Day Brunch using mostly smaller sized {water} balloons with a few standard sized balloons thrown in.
- Clear fishing wire.
- Faux greenery garland for the anchor
- Balloon Time Helium Tank
- faux flowers
This idea can, of course, be transferred to any party or theme idea. Just change up the colors of the balloons to match your decor and switch up the accessories as needed to fit your theme. It’s such a simple and inexpensive way to decorate your table!
Balloon Centerpiece Instructions
- Place your base layer down along the middle of the table. I used a white linen runner and a wooden board for mine. You can even leave this out if you desire. Place the greenery overtop to use as an anchor to tie the balloons to.
- Blow up the balloons. I cannot tell you how much quicker and easier this is with the Balloon Time Helium Tank!
It’s pretty much ready to go as soon as you take it out of the box. You just have to turn the valve as far as it goes counter clockwise and that’s it! The tank should fill 30 standard {9 inch} balloons and the helium should last for 5-7 hours. I found that the smaller balloons didn’t last quite as long, but the 9 inch balloons lasted close to the 7 hours.
To inflate the balloon, simply insert if over the black spout and press down gently. Your balloon is ready a few seconds later without making you feel like you’re going to pass out! Just tie it up.
{NOTE: The tank cannot be re-filled once empty but can be recycled. If you’re using the balloons outside, please ensure that they are tied down tightly and do not release the balloons freely into the air as you never know where they might end up!}
- Once the balloon is tied, wrap some clear fishing wire around the tip, leaving a good sized tail of wire to attach to the greenery. You can always cut this down if it’s too long.
- Attach the balloons at various heights along the garland until you have the look that you desire. Fill in any gaps with faux flowers.
I have some Mother’s Day printables that I’ll be adding to the tablescape on Friday so be sure to check back for those!
