Happy Saturday! No Scrapbook Saturday today as I am off in Vegas for a few days of fun in the sun! Since I won’t be working on any projects this weekend, I thought I would share some school projects from last year. My kids don’t head back to school until after Labor Day but I have heard from many of you that your kids will be going back soon {or **gasp** have already returned to school!} So, here are a few ways to make back to school a little more bearable.
I’m sure everyone takes at least a few back to school pictures each year {we generally have at least 100!}. Why not make a fun prop for your pictures that you can re-use each year like this chalk board frame.
Matthew wrote his name on it so it will be kind of fun to see how his printing changes over the years.
Matthew and I made these cute Apple Cupcakes to give to his teacher after the first {stressful!} week of school.
We also made these pretzel crayons to take to his friends at school and packaged them up in a little pencil box. It is amazing how much they look like real crayons and they were so easy to make!
If you are looking for teacher gifts, here are a couple that we made throughout the year. They are not specifically for back to school but could easily be adapted!
Here’s our teacher Valentine gift box {which was actually inspired by Eighteen25’s teacher appreciation box}
Our 100 day gift – a teacher candy jar. The tag said 100 thank-you’s and we filled it up with 100 candies but just change the wording and you are good to go!
Again, you could just change the wording on this gift bag to “I’m sure you will make me wiser” or something like that. Fill it with some nice lotion or some cute office supplies.
And, finally, here’s my back to school magnetic calendar:
Well, that is enough thinking about back to school. Back to the lazy days of summer for me! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and don’t forget to check out the Sunday Sparks tomorrow! I have a couple of posts pre-done but will be back in person on Tuesday night. See you then!
I linked up with Whipperberry, The CSI Project, Be Different Act Normal, Tatertots and Jello, Young and Crafty, The Shabby Creek Cottage, Tip Junkie, Today’s Creative Blog, 30 Handmade Days, Tidy Mom, Delightful Order, House of Hepworths, Somewhat Simple, The 36th Avenue, Lil Luna, Blue Cricket Design, Skip to my Lou, Craft-O-Maniac, Under the Table and Dreaming and I Heart Naptime.

I have been away from blog world all summer, but I needed inpiration to get a few rooms in my home in order. Feeling overwhelm, and thinking it will take me for ever to accomplish my goals. I became very inspired by your craft room transformation. I need encouragement. So when you come back from your vacation. Can you stop by my blog and check how I’m doing. Thanks.
