Farmhouse Style Fall Trays
I have lots of fun fall decor posts coming your way this week, and I’m so excited to get things started! Today, I’ve teamed up with some blogging friends to bring you our favorite farmhouse style fall trays. Apple Cider Beverage Bar
If you’ve been around here for a while, you know that I always love to make up seasonal beverage bars. They’re fun to put together and a great way to celebrate the season. Apple cider is one of my favorite fall treats and is the perfect transition drink between summer and fall.
Apple Cider Recipes
While I do love the taste of real apple cider, I think this easy “cheater” version using apple juice tastes just as good and gives a nice fall scent to your home while you’re making it. Just mix together 1 bottle of apple juice (64 oz.), 5 cinnamon sticks, 2 tsp. cloves, and half of a lemon {sliced} in a pot and simmer for 30 minutes. You can either serve it hot on those days that feel like fall or refrigerate it for those warmer days. You can also try this apple cider recipe too. Both work great for making apple cider slushies – my favorite!
For the tray, I filled a pretty beverage dispenser with the apple “cider” and filled the infuser with some fresh picked apples and a few more cloves. A mason jar of cinnamon sticks and some extra apples add some interest to the tray and can be used as garnish. You can either pre-cut the apples and dip them in lemon juice to prevent browning or slice them up fresh when you serve.
This apple cider chalkboard design from last year was a favorite of mine, so I brought it back with a very similar version. I then added some copper mule mugs, a few faux fall leaves, and a bouquet of wheat to bring in that early fall feeling.
