Spring Decorating
Who’s ready for spring? I, for one, can’t wait!! Even though it’s definitely still looking and feeling like winter outside, I have already started to add a few spring touches inside. Today, I’m joining Krista from The Happy Housie and some of my favorite blogging friends to bring you some easy spring DIY projects to kick off the season. They’re the best cure for those winter blues!
Easter Printable Spring DIY
If you’ve been around here for a while, you know how much I love using printables for my seasonal decor. They’re such a quick, inexpensive, and easy way to add that seasonal touch and they’re especially great if you’re short on storage space! {TIP: If you use the printables in a frame, just store them in there and rotate the prints each season. They stay damage-free, no extra storage is required, and you’ll know exactly where they are each season!}
This year I went with a bit of a vintage feel with this sweet watercolor bunny print. I love the muted spring colors and think it would fit in nicely with a variety of decor styles. I have it in our kitchen for now but I’m not sure where it will ultimately end up once all of the spring decorating is done. 😉

HOW TO DECORATE WITH PRINTABLES
Once you’ve found your perfect printable, just download it to your computer and print it out. You can either print it on a personal printer at home, or send it out to any digital photo processing lab {Costco, Walgreens, etc.}. Just be careful to watch the sizing when you print them and be careful to check for any cropping if you’re sending them out to be printed. If you choose to print out a printable designated as an 8×10, for example, and you want a 5×7, some of the edges will be cropped.
Printables can be used for so much more than just putting them in a frame. Here are a few of my favorite ways to use them…
- add them to a clipboard
- use them for a card – Just fold some cardstock in half to form a card and glue the printable to the front.
- use them as place settings – print out 2×3 or 3.5×5 and place over a napkin or place setting
- make them into tags
- make a framed canvas
- transfer them onto wood
- create a chalkboard transfer
Most of all, just have fun with them! I’d love to see what you come up with!
