September is here and the kids will be returning to school tomorrow. I am always a little sad when summer vacation comes to an end, but the start of school seems to bring a fresh start and the return of regular routines. I am slowly starting to pull out a few fall touches and easing myself into the season.
Today I am joining some of my favorite bloggers in a fall printable blog hop where we are each sharing a free fall printable along with some pretty fall vignettes and decor ideas. I am starting off with a simple fall printable that I created with one of my favorite fall quotes. I really do feel like fall is a time of new beginnings and, as hard as it is to say good-bye to summer, there is always a certain excitement about the start of fall. The printable was created as an 8×10 but I printed it off as a 4×6 to fit this cute little frame. {NOTE: If you are printing as the 4×6, just make sure you do not have your printer set to “fit to frame” or a small amount may get cut off}.
Since I don’t really have much of my fall decor out yet, I just added some wheat and cotton for some fall flair and stuck with a neutral color scheme. I also managed to find some mini white pumpkins {my favs!} at one of our local pumpkin patches. Yay for pumpkins in August! 😉
I still obviously have a lot of fall decorating to do, but for now I am happy with my little taste of fall as I slowly transition from summer. Knowing me though, I’m sure it won’t be long before the rest of the fall decor follows.
Don’t forget to think outside the box when you are using the printables – there are so many fun ways to use them other than putting them in a standard frame. Try framing them in canvas {like I did here}, using them on wreaths, or adding them as gift tags. They really are fun to play around with!

Where did you get your clipboard?
I got it at Michaels a number of years ago. I’ve seen it there many times since but they just seem to carry colors other than white.
