I must admit that I love looking at photos of those big, beautifully stocked pantries, but, in reality, our pantry spaces can often be much smaller. Last week I shared how I organized the small pantry space in our home, and today I thought that I would share some of my favorite pantry organization ideas from around the blogosphere. With a few creative organization ideas, you can turn any sized pantry into a pretty and functional space for your home.
1. If you don’t have room for a pantry directly in your kitchen, look for alternative places that you can store your bulk food items. I love this rolling pantry shelving unit from AKA Designs. It adds such a beautiful design element and provides both functional storage and a space to display some of your favorite pieces!

The DIY Showoff also has a gorgeous open shelving pantry that they installed in one of their hallways.

And this one even went underneath the stairs!

2. Pretty storage jars add personality to any sized pantry. Clear containers allow you to easily see what you have and can save a ton of space by allowing you to remove the original packaging.
3. Labels are another cute way to personalize your space while still helping to keep things organized. I like to use chalkboard labels {mine are from Staples} so that the label can easily be changed if needed. There are also lots of beautiful printables options available including these ones from Lia Griffith and The Painted Hive.

4. Use a chalkboard wall to easily keep track of your inventory, what items you need to purchase, or what food needs to be eaten before it expires.
If you are short on space, you can use chalkboard vinyl on the inside of your cupboard door instead. Write out your grocery list as you go and then just take a photo when you are heading down to the store!
5. For those of you that prefer to have your pantry items behind closed doors but don’t have a lot of space, try installing a sliding door.
6. DIY organization projects are a great way to add storage to those difficult spaces. Shanty 2 Chic has plans for this spice rack, canned food organizers, and food wrap storage – just customize the plans to your own needs!
7. To optimize your space, look to the inside of the pantry doors and along the side of pantry closets for additional storage. These shower caddies provide a great space to store smaller items and can be mounted in an otherwise unusued spot.

These storage clips are another clever storage solution – not only do they keep your items fresh but they can also be hung from wire or wood shelving to help save on space.
Hopefully these pantry organization tips will help you create your own beautiful, organized pantry. And, if you still want to dream, here are a few other gorgeous pantry spaces!

We’ve got a blackboard wall in our pantry and it’s the most useful thing ever, even when it’s just covered in stupid doodles and jokes

Oh my goodness! I Thank God for you and your ideas! Honestly, I am going to have a hard, emotional time doing away with A LOT of items that I have been hanging onto for 10-20+years, but it is much needed! My house is not very large, so I find myself running out of room. It seems like the more storage space my husband makes, the more I need! So, it is time for your makeover in EVERY room in my house! I don’t think it really hit me until I came across your site today! I will share with many, many people who are like me and are border hoarder people!! Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing all of your ideas!

Good for you for making a start! I think the longer we hold onto things, the harder they are to let go. Keep your end goal in mind and you will get there!

all these open shelves are pretty but all I can think of is all the dust that will be collected……..

Gorgeous pins here! I love the chalkboards right next to it with grocery lists – I could also see having your meals that you had planned on one of those too. I’ve got to say as a very short person I hate having a crowded pantry because when I try to reach up the higher shelves it all goes crashing down on me. Loving all of these!
