Welcome back to our Trim the Tree Party!!
I love handmade Christmas ornaments and think that they add such a special touch to the tree and other holiday decor. This week, I have invited some of my favorite blogging friends to join me in sharing one of their favorite handmade ornaments. At the end of the week we will have a special giveaway for you that you don’t want to miss, so don’t forget to check back! There will be three new ornaments each day, so you should have a beautifully decorated tree by the end of the week! 😉

Hi Clean & Scentsible readers! Kimberly from A Night Owl here, a blog where we share easy crafts, recipes and more for ladies on the GO! I work full time in social media and spend my free time chasing after two boys under 5, so needless to say whatever I do has to be quick and easy, but I sure to love creating! And today is no exception. I was so excited to create this mini Mason Jar Ornament for Jennifer’s Trim Your Tree series!
I just LOVE mason jars – don’t you?! I feel like they’re just a classic that will never go away. And I’m ok with that! They’re perfect for everything from drinks and storage to packaging up cute gifts – and even make pretty darn adorable ornaments! Of course they do.
I found these mini mason jars at Target a couple weeks ago and I knew I could find a million uses for them. And tucking them with sweet Christmas sprigs and some snow just sounded so divine! And that’s what I did…let’s break it down!
Supplies
- Mini mason jar
- Fake snow
- Christmas picks
- Styrofoam
- Wire cutters
- Twine ribbon
To Do
- So the styrofoam may not be necessary, but because I didn’t want my Christmas sprigs to sink too far into the snow, I first cut a small piece of styrofoam to fit in the bottom of the mason jar.
- I then covered the styrofoam with fake snow.
- Then using my wire cutters, I simply cut a few cute sprigs off my Christmas picks – a couple red berries, a little bit of greenery (that I even trimmed down a bit so it didn’t overwhelm the jar) and a couple mini pinecones (aren’t they the CUTEST?!).
- Then I just topped that cuteness off with the mason jar lid and tied twine around the lip of the jar, forming a loop at one end for hanging!
And voila! The result is just the cutest little festive Mason Jar Ornaments you ever did see – right?!
I mean – this is one of those projects that I ran in and showed my husband (a non-craft enthusiast), and said “isn’t this soooo cute?” And he had to agree. That’s when I know a project is golden. And I hope you love this little Mason Jar Ornament as much as we do! It really was quick and easy to put together because I know you just ain’t got time for that. Well you have time for this!
Thanks again to Jennifer for having me today! If you love this quick and easy project, I hope you’ll stop by A Night Owl for more easy crafts and recipes! You can also find me on Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, and Twitter most days. I’m a social media addict! Be sure to say hi if you stop by!
