Hey guys! The weekend is finally here and it is time to sit back and relax! We are actually celebrating a long weekend here in Canada and the family and I are heading off to Disneyland for some fun in the sun. I can’t wait to get away and I thought we should have a drink together to celebrate! 🙂
This sparkling strawberry slush is the perfect summer drink – it’s so tasty and refreshing and is a favorite with both the kids and the adults. Just make up a big batch of the strawberry puree to keep on hand in the freezer and you can mix this up in seconds. It’s perfect to serve to any guests that might pop over and works great for summer parties too!
- 2⅓ cup water + ⅔ cup water
- ¾ cups sugar
- 2 tea bags
- 1 cup fresh strawberries with stems removed
- ½ cup cranberry juice
- ¼ cup thawed orange juice concentrate
- ¼ cup thawed lemonade concentrate
- 2 cups Sprite or 7Up {regular or diet}
- Bring 2⅓ cups water and the sugar to a boil. Stir until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
- Boil ⅔ cup water, add tea bags and steep for 3-4 minutes.
- Combine the sugar and tea mixtures into a freezer safe container.
- In a blender, purree the strawberries, cranberry juice, lemonade concentrate and orange juice concentrate. Stir into the freezer container. Cover and freeze for at least 6 hours.
- When you are ready to serve, combine approximately ¾ cup of the strawberry mixture with ⅓ cup soda.

Love anything with fresh fruit in it. I remember the pail of slush my mom would make in the summer for when guest popped by. Somehow I think this one is a little more sophisticated. Have fun in DL!

I Couldn’t find a recipe?? Only thing I saw was a video and it wouldn’t play for me??
Jenn Lifford says
Sorry! I’m not sure if something was just temporarily down? It’s all working now – at least on my end.

Can you just post the recipe? I watched the video but the ingredients are not all listed and the measurements aren’t either.
Jenn Lifford says
Sorry! It wasn’t done this way on purpose. There was an issue with the post and the recipe got deleted. I don’t have the ingredient list written down anywhere else, so I have to re-do the recipe again a few times to figure out the right measurements. I will re-post when it’s done. Thanks for your patience!
