Okay, I don’t really have a home office. It is more like a little corner in our basement. But it is my little space and I have been wanting to spruce it up a bit and make it a little more inspirational. Over the past couple of months I have been slowly adding a few fun touches and am finally get around to showing it to you.
Our basement is a true basement with one little window in the far corner. The pictures definitely aren’t the best but hopefully they will give you a few ideas that you can use in your own space.
This space holds all of the family paperwork {including personal papers, bills, warranties etc.}, all of my blogging information, the household cleaning schedule, and my To Do List. Basically this is where any piece of important information will be organized for long term keeping. There is a filing cabinet attached to the desk where everything is filed away….
{you can read more about organizing the paperwork HERE}
…and a section to hold my binders. The binders are from the Martha Stewart line at Staples and I love them. A pretty binder just makes it so much better! 🙂 I have one for our revised family binder{that I still need to blog about!}, one for all of my cleaning lists from The Household Organization Diet, and one for all of my blogging information {that is still a work in progress!}.
I also have a wire filing folder that I attached to the end of my desk to hold everything that still needs to be done or filed away.
I added some white stacking organizers {again from Martha Stewart} to one of the other drawers – it is a great way to double your space!
This little basket holds my To Do List Binder, a notepad, and a few pens. It keeps my To Do list handy and always in sight when I am sitting at the computer! 🙂
As usual, my favorite part about organizing a space is adding all of the fun little touches!
I made this fabric pennant at the craft night during the SNAP conference. The fabrics are from Modern Yardage {which is a really fun company!} and the cute felt flower was on my friend Kellie’s business card {from Nest of Posies}. It made the perfect addition to my chalkboard that hangs above my desk.
I purchased this awesome sign at SNAP during the Queen Bee Market. It is from Evie Ivy. I loved every single one of her signs and actually ended up buying two!
Have a wonderful weekend and don’t forget to stay connected!!

Doesn’t having a corner office mean you’re at the top of your field? I love the way you’ve made the space your own.

Fantastic job! Great muffin pan idea for the drawer, very clever. We had a little flood a few months ago so my office has been MIA. Ah, I need it back so I can beautify and organize 🙂

Where did ou buy the wire file organizer? Only a vertical file holder will fit my hutch. Thanks.
Jenn Lifford says
I think I got it from Decor Steals – it’s a daily deal site so that’s probably not too helpful for you. I have seen similar ones at Home Sense {Home Goods in the States} and I also saw a vertical file holder at Target the other day {in the section where they have their signs}. Hope that helps!
