I know most of you are dreaming of Spring right now, but for many of us, the cold weather {and even snow!} is still the reality outside. So here is a little winter reading inspiration to help you through the last few weeks of winter….
This beautiful book was written by a mother-daughter team and consists of heartfelt stories, inspirational photos, and simple “made from the heart” craft projects and gift ideas to help you connect to the season. It definitely has that “old fashioned” winter feel!
The projects and recipes in this book are all simple and easy to follow, can be completed in less than an hour, and can even be done with your kiddos. You probably even have most of the supplies on hand!
The book contains detailed instructions and beautiful photos to help you complete 10 projects:
- Cranberry Scones
- Snow Stamped Mug {I love this one!}
- Orange Spiced Tea
- Hand Warming Hearts {these are so cute!}
- Bittersweet Marshmallows {can’t wait to try these!}
- Little Tarts
- Mom’s Hot Cocoa
- Sweetheart Banner 3 ways
- Gratitude Gift
As a special gift, the authors have offered you these cute jar toppers that you can download here.
They can also be used as tags too! Here is what I made with mine…
I finally got to use my washi tape!! I cut out the “Made with Love” topped and glued it to the lid insert and then added some washi tape along the outer ring. I then used a two inch circle punch to punch out the Freshly Baked tag and attached it with some twine.
If you want to do single servings, just slide a cookie or two in a little bag, close with some washi tape and add the tag with a clothes pin.
Cute and easy just like the rest of the projects in the book! 🙂
{P.S. If you are going to be adding cookies to the jar, make sure you don’t make them too big. I had to trim most of mine down!!}
Bittersweet Walnut Grove: Winter Thyme is available on Amazon in either paperback or for your Kindle {FREE for today only I believe!}. You can also connect with them on website or Facebook to see some sneak peeks of their projects. And if you are really just thinking of Spring, they will be coming out with a Spring edition soon!
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
