The other drawers and cubbies hold pens and other frequently used office supplies. I’m still switching things around a bit but I am really liking how functional this is for us. Plus the white brightens up the space a bit more.
So, there you have it. A completed project that I never intended on doing!

P.S. Just in case you are wondering, this is not a sponsored post in any way. I just love the products and thought that I would share. And those file folders matched my new purse perfectly! 🙂
Very nice! I wish I had the wall space in my kitchen for something similar, but sadly I don’t. 🙁 I did however pick up a desktop organizer on clearance at Target a few weeks ago, which works well for me.
I love the way yours turned out! I need the mini version of this to control our cluttered little command station.
I love this idea. It looks so well put together. Thanks for sharing, I may have to take a trip to Staples!
Looks fantastic – so neat and organized. Love the family sign too. Great job!
Staples has an online 40% off coupon for the US only, until March 30th.
Thanks for the idea.
Love this organization! I need to spend a little time organizing in my house! Life to the full, Melissa @ DaisyMaeBelle

Great organization. I have to reorganize our command center and I love this wall mounted solution. I’m going to have to check out our Staples. I would love for you to come and link this up to my Swing into Spring party going on right now. Hope to see you there. http://diybydesign.blogspot.com

This is such a wonderful command center! I have command center envy. 😉 It looks gorgeous and seems to have everything you need to keep things handy and organized. I need one!

I’m so doing this! I actually just did a sponsored post for Staples and totally bummed I didn’t see this before! Would have bought all the supplies! Can you tell me how the boards mount to the wall? Wondering if I could use a bunch of those 3M strips……thoughts? 🙂
I love this! I’d like to invite you to link up on Saturday Spotlight @ Angels Homestead today.

Oooo… I want one! I am a terrible unorganized person and wish that I could make one of these and actually use it as intended. But I probably wouldn’t. It is beautiful, though! Thanks for sharing.

I love how darling and clean this looks! Definitely going to keep this in mind when re-organizing mine. Coming from Mom On Time Out
I love it, but I especially love your clock! I need one of those!
Oh my gosh!!! Love this! So practical and organized… it makes me happy. Can you come to my house and use your ‘decorating magic”? I will pay you with food!! 🙂 hehe
Krista @joyfulhealthyeats
I just found your blog and love it! This cammand center is exactly what I have been looking for! We just bought a new home and moved and I need a system for a ‘landing spot’ for us. Please-how many of the accessory board did you use for your? it is hard to tell the scale from the picture. Thanks!
How did you make your The Lifford Family sign? So cute and I would love to make one for my family.
What is the paint color of your walls, LOVE!!!
Thanks for sharing your amazing work! Love the family sign! I was wondering where you bought the other sign(about creating)?

This post is heaven sent! I’m an interior designer & I’ve been looking for something attractive for the home office of one of my clients. Thanks for sharing!
Warmly, Michelle

I bought this system and put it by our entry door. I love it. I have the hooks for our car keys (because I was always losing them), the bulletin board for important notices, a clip to hang bills when they arrive, and I use the trays for cell phones, sunglasses, wallets, etc…
It has made a world of difference. I love how you have personalized yours. Looks great.
I love this space!! I just purchase some of the same items and need to put them up but first need to paint. I am curious if you know the wall color you have in these pictures? Very light and airy, just what I am looking to change to in my home.
Thanks!
I love your command center and the clock? Where did you get it?
Thanks! The clock was from a store called Jysk. If you are in Canada there are quite a few of them but not so sure if there are any in the US. It was really inexpensive – I think $20?
I looking for this do you know the name of this product. I know Martha Stewart. That’s Staples but didn’t see it on there website
They actually discontinued it a while ago and have not brought it back with their new release of Martha Stewart products. 🙁
I just came across this post and it is EXACTLY what I am looking for. So upset they are not selling it anymore. The only thing similar I can find is on the Pottery Barn website, but it is SO EXPENSIVE!!! Have you seen anything similar anywhere else online you could direct me towards?
Thanks!
I know! I get so many emails about this! Staples did just bring back their desk organizers though so if you have some desk space, there are some pretty cute options!
I don’t think I’ve ever heard of that store in California. What type of clock is that called where it hangs off from the side? I can try to search for a place that sells them here. Thanks!
This is so awesome I had to copy it!! I used it to replace a large cork board we had above our desk in the kitchen that just looked like a mess on the wall. This has really cleaned up my space and we all love it. My son has even volunteered to make a sign in his woodshop class. I can’t wait to see it. Thanks for the inspiration!!
Wow – we have the same last name!
How you pronounce it? We pronounce it: Ly-ford
I don’t think I have ever come across anyone else with the same last name other than family! The same first initial too! We pronounce ours just like Clifford but without the ‘C’.
Very interesting! We live in Indianapolis), and the rest of my husband’s family lives in the midwest (Illinois, Ohio).
Any time I have to spell the name, I always use the example you left (spelled life Clifford without the C). I think it should be pronounced that way!
Nice to meet someone with the same last name via cyberspace!
Lovely blog, by the way.
Did you make the family sign or have it made? I love it!
Janice
I made it. I just painted the wood and used my Silhouette machine to make the stencils for the wording. Super easy!
I have been wanting something like this. Did you get the entire thing at Staples?
I made the family sign, but the 4 boards and most of the accessories are all from Staples.
I’m so glad you mentioned your new purse in this…. where did you get it? i LOVE the color and style!!!
I have had so many questions about the purse! lol! I bought it in Canada at a store called The Shoe Company – the brand is L.Credi. It is a great purse – very slim and stremlined but fits quite a bit!
Beautiful! I noticed one of your boards appears to be magnetic, but Staples’ website doesn’t offer that as an option for the wall manager. Is that feature only available in stores? Also, where did you get your metal-frame labels and gorgeous teal file folders? 🙂
Thanks!
Everything is from the Martha Stewart line including the labels and file folders. Here’s the link for the magnetic board: http://www.staples.com/Martha-Stewart-Home-Office-with-Avery-Wall-Manager-Magnetic-DE-Board-Chalk/product_100415
Where did you get your family name sign????
I made it. It’s just a piece of wood that I painted and then stenciled on our name. It’s a quick and easy project! 🙂
Since Facebook is notorious for not letting page owners know when I tag them, I thought I would stop by myself and let you know I featured this post and my readers loved it! https://www.facebook.com/CraftsbyAmanda/photos/a.353593675216.349539.323548680216/10154225423830217/?type=1
Thanks so much Amanda! Glad you liked it! 🙂
I absolutely love this! I would like to make a family sign like yours! Do you have a tutorial on how you made it?
I don’t have a tutorial up but I just sanded and painted a piece of wood white and then stenciled on the letters. Once everything was dried I gave it a light sanding again to distress it a little. Easy-peasy!!
Where did you get your clock, I LOVE it!!
I got it at Jysk – I’m not sure if that store is only in Canada? It’s one of my favorite clocks that we have but was really inexpensive – under $20!
Funny how the picture from the side made your clock look like a old weighing machine. I had to look at a different picture to see if it was just a clock or if it had the thing hanging from it. Would be a good idea though – to take one of those clocks and put a little scale on the bottom to make it look like an old scale.
Yes, that would be cute!
Love this! A must have for sure!
I would love to know where you got these things. I can’t seem to find anywhere!
It’s from the Martha Stewart line at Staples but they were unfortunately discontinued. They have been bringing some of their previously discontinued items back so maybe this will make it back too!
Your board is so nice but I see where you said that it was not available any more. I did find them on Ebay but they are over $50 for one section and it looks like you have 4 pieces. That would be really expensive. When you bought yours were they cheaper?
Yes! Way cheaper! I hate how crazy the prices can get on Ebay some times. I believe I paid about $60 for the whole thing. I’m still hoping Staples brings them back. 🙂
Gosh – I hope you’re right about them bringing back this line! I just saw your pic of this and immediately jumped to Staples.com to purchase… and then saw they don’t exist 🙁 Fingers crossed, because this is exactly the set up I had in my mind!
I really wish they would bring it back. I have had so many people ask me about it!
Very good. I love it and will try to do it on my own <3
Hi! I love this command center that you created! I noticed a slat wall is available on Amazon … are they all uniform? If I’m able to get different pieces will it work like yours? I understand that staples discontinued the items originally featured. I definitely want to tackle this before school starts! Thanks so much!
No, I don’t believe the slat walls are uniform so you would have to customize your pieces to the wall you purchase. There are also lots of other ways to set up a command center if this particular set up doesn’t work for you. I’m just in the process of simplifying mine!
