Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and I always try to do something handmade with the kids to give to Daddy. Usually my kiddos’ handprints end up making it into the project somewhere {you can see some past projects here and here} because I can never really get enough of their little hands!
Well, this year was no different – here’s our Valentine’s Day card…
Well, this year was no different – here’s our Valentine’s Day card…
This card is made from a couple of Matthew’s handprints that we traced onto scrapbook paper and cut out {inspired from this project}. On the inside, there is an accordian fold pull out holding some pictures and a few little notes from Matthew.
There is still lots of room on the back of the accordian fold to write more so I am hoping that he will add to it over the next week.
I’m sorry that I didn’t take any photos while I was creating the card but it is so simple to do, I’m sure you won’t need them. If you want to add some twine like I did to close it up, make sure you add it before gluing the accordian fold onto the back handprint.
I used some Echo Park scrapbook papers and embellishments to decorate things up – even the back of the card got in on the fun!

My son hates doing crafts but maybe I can get him to sit long enough so I can trace his hands. My husband would love this.
