Blast From the Past – August Edition

Happy August!! I’m actually kind of stunned that August is already here and still trying to figure out where July went!  Even though we are only half way through our summer vacation, the Back to School talk has already began and there is even {*gasp!*} Halloween items out in the stores.  Well, I will be holding on to summer for as long as I possibly can and am hoping that August will be nice and move at a little slower pace {ah, wishful thinking I know!}
Since many of you are new to this blog over the past year, I thought I would start off each month highlighting some of the projects that I did from that month in previous years.   I feel like I am often a little behind in getting up seasonal related posts, so hopefully this will give you a little headstart.  I wish I had some nice labeled tabs so you could find past projects easier but this will have to do for now.  Hopefully you will find a few projects that you haven’t had a chance to see before!
Summer is definitely the season of weddings.  Although money often seems to be the gift of choice these days, an added personalized wedding gift is always a nice touch.
I created this tiered platter which is still a favorite of mine.

I spent a lot of time last summer organizing our bathrooms.
I talked about our two upstairs bathrooms here. {This was Pre-Master Bathroom Makeover}
 And our other two bathrooms here {as well as some cleaning tips!}.
  I created some Bathroom Storage Jars
and a Brush and Wash Station from my DIY Blue Storage Jars.
I also made a Boo-Boo Box to store all of our first aid supplies.
I discovered Annie Sloan Chalk Paint last summer as well and painted my bedroom chest for my first project.
And then turned an old wine rack into a jewellery organizer for my closet.
So there you have some of my projects from last August.  I hope you found something new to you!

Enjoy your day!

    I love the idea of using the mason jars for toothbrushes and paste for each kid! Will have to steal that one!

    Take care,

    Trish
