Toilet Paper Treat Boxes

Last week I was over at Poofy Cheeks with these toilet paper roll treat boxes.  For those of you that missed it, here’s the very quick and easy tutorial for you. I have seen a few varieties of these toilet paper roll pillow boxes on Pinterest and they are SO easily adapted to any occasion.  Here is my spooky Halloween version!

MATERIALS

  • toilet paper rolls
  • black ink
  • scrapbook paper {My paper is from Echo Park}
  • stickers or other embellishments {Mine are cut from the Echo Park paper}
  • bakers twine, embroidery thread or other thin ribbon
  • double sided tape and/or glue
  • candy or chocolate of your choice!
TO DO
  • Track down some empty toilet paper rolls.  Fold down the ends of the roll into a semi-circle and pinch to define the fold.
  • Using black ink, ink along the edges of the toilet paper roll and randomly over the surface.  Cut twine or thin ribbon so that it will wrap around the roll and tie.
  • Cut some scrapbook paper to fit around your roll.  Adhere the ends together with double sided tape.  Add a sticker or other embellishment to the front if you would like.
  • I always like the “little touches” so I added a little ghost tag to the baker’s twine.
  • Now just fill with CANDY!!!
As a side note, when I was first forming the boxes, I thought they looked a little like an owl {and I love owls!}.  So… I went with it and came up with this guy.

Isn’t he cute?

I think that a bunch of these would also look cute in a bowl.  I just might have to make a few more.

Hope you are all having a great week!

    TP rolls also make great bats. These are such a great idea for classroom party favors. Thanks for the inspiration.
