Since stumbling into blog land this year, however, I have been totally inspired by all of the amazing and creative projects out there! Eighteen25 had a Spooktacular September event with guest bloggers and so many fun ideas! If you haven’t seen it already, it is definitely a great place to get into the Halloween spirit.
I was hoping to have time this weekend to finish up the Halloween decorating but ended up spending most of the weekend painting the kids playhouse. Here are a couple of projects (Eighteen25 inspired!) that I have actually finished:
I love my little family of fuzzy spiders. Okay, normally I absolutely despise spiders but who couldn’t love these guys? This is their main hangout but they can be spotted in various locations throughout the house. The cob webs look kind of weird with the flash (and my awesome photography skills!) but don’t look that bad in real life. This idea came from Jen from Johnson Journal. I ended up making mine from styrofoam balls and that fuzzy yarn (I’m sure it has a name but I have no idea what it is!) and also have some bats in the works. I’ll get some pictures of these guys when I hang them up.
My Boo sign. Connor’s nickname is Boo so he thinks this is his sign. I have been waiting to make one of these until my Silhouette arrived but there is still no sign of it. I actually had to draw and cut the letters out by hand (**gasp!**).
I had an extra frame kicking around so I just painted it black (like I seem to be doing everything these days) and sanded it down. It looked a little plain with just the letter so I added the little embellishment thingy in the corner. Dave thinks it looks like a prize ribbon. What do guys know??

I love your BOO sign, and I really like the little extra decor in the corner of it! I think it adds just the right touch! Thanks for sharing!
