I have been busy putting together the last of our spring home tour {look for it on the blog this Wednesday!} and thought that it would be a good time to share our updated Easter hot cocoa bar with you.
If you’ve been around here for a while, you know that I love creating a little beverage bar with these milk bottles each season {like these ones here, here, and here!}. I’m not really much of a tea drinker and I don’t drink coffee, so hot chocolate is usually my go to hot beverage. It’s a tasty way to warm up on our damp, spring days!
The milk bottles are filled with hot chocolate, marshmallows, and mini-eggs {my absolute favorite!!}. I created the labels using my Silhouette, but since I can’t share those files, I also made another set of labels just for you!

Once you print out the labels, you just need to cut them out {or punch with a circle punch} and tie them on with some baker’s twine. I also mounted mine on some scrapbook paper for some added layering. For the Bunny Bar sign, I purchased a wooden rectangle from Michaels and spray painted it with chalkboard paint.
I love white ceramic bunnies {if you follow along on Instagram you know that they have pretty much invaded our home!} and picked this one up last year at Home Sense. He provides some easy access to the mini-eggs! 🙂
The happy mugs were a new purchase this year from Pier One. Spring definitely makes me happy so I thought that they were a good fit and I love that they can still be used once all of the Easter decor gets put away.
Now I think it’s time to grab some mini-egg hot chocolate! Cheers!

We are all thinking that the weather is going to turn and spring is on its way! Until then however, hot chocolate is just what the doctor ordered. Thanks for the recipe, great blogs.

I’m on the west coast so thankfully I have not had to deal with all of the cold and snow this year! Our rainy days can sometimes go right to the bones though! 😉

what a great idea and great photos. I know how hard it is to take pictures.
Equally as hard, is to find a great cocoa recipe. I have been trying all winter, lol.

I have been following your blog for a while now and love it! I was inspired by your hot cocoa bar for the different holidays and am in the process of making one for our family in our kitchen as it gets remodeled. I ordered the same glass milk bottles and holder from Decor Steals and it just arrived today, but I have a question. How do you get the middle bottle out? We have tried turning it at different angles and can’t seem to get it out. Can you share how you get out the middle bottle of this holder to fill it each holiday? Thanks!
Rosemary says
Hi Jenn, can you please tell me where you got your chalkboard/paddleboard? It’s so cute! Thank you!
Jenn Lifford says
It’s from Decor Steals. It’s a daily deal site but these chalkboards seem to come up fairly often. 🙂

This is a wonderful hot chocolate bar idea! I found it googling “Easter hot chocolate”. I need to send a care package that was to include a hot chocolate basket. Now however, the weather is warming up a bit and I can make it Easter themed!
Jenn Lifford says
Sounds like a fun care package! So nice of you to put something like that together. 🙂

Thanks so much for sharing your cocoa bar for all Seasons!! Yes, I checked out every single one because I have a similar caddy with those 3 same bottles that I recently bought after Christmas in Big lot’s for a mere $5!! I loved seeing everything that you put in those bottles over the year for the different seasons and holidays!! I never would have thought of all of that so Thank You!! I will definitely by changing out those bottles throughout the year for my Beverage bar area!!!
I hope you are having a great weekend!!
Hugs,
Deb
