Happy Wednesday! How has your week been going? Can you believe that it is already getting towards the end of July?
Our summer vacation just seems to be flying by and we are counting down the days until we leave for Mexico next week. We always have so many big plans at the start of summer but there just does not seem to be enough time to fit everything in. Often we can get so busy with all of our activities that it is sometimes hard to find the time to connect with our friends and neighbors. I really do love them though, so I decided to come up with some quick and easy summer gifts to remind them that we are still thinking of them…
Everyone loves a nice, cool glass of lemonade in the summer and your friends can think of you every time they make one up! The back tag has a basic recipe for the lemonade as well as one to make a lemonade slushie. {one of my favorites!}

MATERIALS
- mason jars
- baker’s twine
- lemonade mix
- pre-sweetened cherry Kool-Aid mix
- tags {download HERE}
- cupcake liners
- glue
- hole punch
TO DO
- Download and print out the tags. For my printer, I had to unclick “fit picture to frame” to avoid the edges being cut off so you may need to play around with the borders on your printer if it is cutting it off. If you are still having trouble you can download this version {there is only one tag per page rather than two}Trim around the edges of the tags or punch out with a 3 inch circle punch.
- Glue the two tags together and punch a hole through the top.
- Mix lemonade and Kool-Aid together using a ratio of 1 1/4 cups lemonade to 3/4 cups Kool-Aid. {you can leave the Kool-Aid out if you would like and just use lemonade but the cherry flavor adds a fun twist!}. Add to mason jar.
- Place the lid on the mason jar, place cupcake liner on top, and attach your tag with the baker’s twine. You can add a couple of paper straws as well for an extra special touch!
- Deliver to your friends and family or take to a BBQ as a little hostess gift. It is sure to make someone smile! 🙂
I’m sure your friends will thank you as they are sipping on their raspberry cherry lemonade slushie…
And, of course, you can always create your own little lemonade bar at home too…

Great idea! I love the tags. On a smaller scale these would be cute for a summer party favor too!

Loved all your suggestions and will try quite a few of them. Keep them coming as I need activities to keep my grand nephews busy when they visit us this summer. Great ideas. All looked yummy, too!

I love this idea, but am not very good at things without precise directions. How much lemonade mix and cherry koolaid mix to use? It looks wonderful and I want to make it today or tomorrow. Thanks, Nancy
Jenn Lifford says
Hi Nancy! If you are just mixing up the lemonade just use half of the recommended powder for each and mix together with the full water. It’s kind of a bit of personal preferance if you want to add one flavor a bit more than the other. Here is the link for the cherry lemonade slush: https://www.cleanandscentsible.com/2013/05/cherry-lemonade-raspberry-slushie.html Enjoy!

These are very cute. What size mason jars?
Jenn Lifford says
You could use whatever size you want. These are the narrow mouth 16 oz jars. 🙂
DJean says
Are both the lemonade mix and the cherry kool-aid mix sweetened?
Jenn Lifford says
Yes, these were but you could always use whatever you prefer. 🙂
